About 70 percent of Universal Pictures property is located inside of Universal City, as well as, Universal Studios and the Universal CityWalk shopping and entertainment center. Your dog will be awestruck in Universal City since you can see the Hollywood sign from almost any location within Universal City. Surrounded by the beautiful Angeles National Forest, your dog will love his time exploring Universal City.   

There are no veterinary clinics located inside of Universal City, but there is a plethora of vets located outside of the city only five to ten minutes away. Since Universal City is a tourist town, there is more than enough pet-friendly hotels for you and your pup to stay at. East Valley is home to the South Weddington Park, a beautiful park to take a walk with your dog in. The park is open from dawn to dusk, giving you and your dog plenty of time to play a round of fetch and take a few laps. The park is filled with big trees to help provide shade and a lot of grass for rolling. The perimeter of the park is asphalt and perfect for walking. Make sure to bring plenty of water for your dog to drink and some clean-up bags since the park does not provide them.

The Wonder View Trail is a dogtastic 3-mile long trail that drops you right behind the Hollywood sign and gives you breathtaking views. Be sure to snap a photo before heading down the trail. If you’re not the hiking type, you can still have a great view of the Hollywood sign at the Lake Hollywood Park. This park is known to have a lot of dogs visiting and socializing, but there are strict rules that your dog needs to stay on leash while visiting.

There are benches for dog parents to relax on, but be sure to bring water to stay hydrated. If you and your dog are looking for a trail to enjoy, then check out the Franklin Canyon Lake Loop and Chaparral Trail. Franklin Canyon Park is a beautiful 605-acres and a 2.5-mile round trip hike.

The neighborhood is home to Wattles Garden park, a beautiful park that welcomes leashed dogs, and is on the grounds of the Wattles Mansion. The park is filled with beautiful trees to help keep your dogs shaded and cool, and gives you a beautiful view of all of Los Angeles. Be sure to bring water for those extra hot days and clean-up bags. Wattles Garden Park is strict on keeping your dog on leash, so make sure to follow the rules. Locals say the park is huge and the perfect spot to let you dog explore.
