Dog Areas in Bonita

1 Park

The city of Bonita, California is located in southern San Diego County. This city is known for its historical impact on the region. The word "bonita" means beautiful in Spanish, and that's the perfect way to describe this city. It got its name from a rancher who grew lemons and lived in the area in the late 1800’s. His ranch was named Bonita. The local post office adopted the name too, and it stuck!

While you're here, you'll want to visit the pawesome Rohr Park, which welcomes furry friends as long as they remain on their leash. There are jogging trails to enjoy with your pooch as well as beautiful undeveloped scenery. The 3-mile long trail is paved, so you will want to be careful of your pup’s paws getting too hot.

You could enjoy a quiet, relaxing picnic at this park with your pal. There is also a pond where you can watch the ducks and other wildlife. Your pooch will love all of the different scents to sniff here. This park is very serene; it has lush green grass and an array of trees that are perfect for shade from the sun. This is a must-see when you come to this city!
