It is only about a 10-minute drive from Lemon Grove, California. The beach is sandy and your pooch can meet a lot of other furry friends here. The ocean is easy for the pups to get into and splash around. Grab an umbrella for shade, some water and some doggy bags for cleanup. Your pooch will not want to leave this beautiful beach, and neither will you!36

It is home to the Cabrillo Tide Pools Trail. This trail has a very scenic view with dirt paths to walk on. It is an easy trail to walk with your pooch and is about a half-mile long. Something to keep in mind, though, is that there is a $10 fee to get in. Also, there is not much shade and you will need to bring water and doggy bags for cleanup. It is home to the Coronado Dog Beach, which is open year-round and 24 hours a day. This is an off-leash dog beach; you will just need to keep your pup on a leash until you reach the beach from the parking lot, which is located along Ocean Boulevard.
