East Hampton
Although there is not a lot for you and your pup to do in Hampton, the city is home to its very own Hampton Lake. Hampton pup owners flock to this lake every day to walk, relax, sit by the water, and fish. Consider even renting a boat and spend the day on the water fishing with your pup. Your pup will go wild watching you pull fish out of the water! Just beware, the lake does not have any facilities for humans or pups. You will have to take your own water, leash, and puppy poop bags for your lakeside adventures.36
West Starke
If you drive less than ten minutes from Hampton, you can take your pooch to Santa Fe Swamp Conservation Area, located in Starke, Florida. This gigantic nature preserve is over 7,000 acres in size, with plenty of wildlife, fishing, and hunting. It is a beautiful swamp where plenty of humans take their pups for long walks on the many trails the park has to offer. However, it is important to remember the park is actually a swamp, and 90% of it is wet. You may want to make sure you and your pooch are wearing the proper footwear!24
City Center
If you drive only twenty minutes from Hampton, you will arrive in the city of Hawthorne, California. Hawthorne is home to one of the largest nature preserves in the region: Newnans Lake Conservation Area. This gigantic nature preserve is nearly 6,000 acres in size, and is full of cypress trees, wildlife, and a large fresh water source. You can take your pooch to this nature preserve to walk, relax in the grass, or fish. Since this is so close to Hampton, you can spend an afternoon in the park, or turn it into a full-blown weekend trip! What better way to bond with your best furry friend?12

Although one of the closest dog parks is approximately forty minutes away from Hampton, it is definitely worth the drive. You will find Poochie's Park in Orange Park. This dog park is more sophisticated any of the other parks in the area because it is staffed as long as it is open. Furrrthermore, it is one of the cleanest parks in the area where pups can run wild and free without the constraints of any leashes. Plus, it is a pawesome place to take your pup to socialize and meet other pooches, since this park is popular with the locals. Trust us, your pup will love you for taking them to Poochie's Park!

Drive just thirty minutes from Hampton to Gainesville, where you will find Haisley Lynch Dog Park. This dog park is one of the most visited dog parks in the area. It is a wonderful place for pups to play and humans to relax. It is also completely fenced in so your pooch will be able to run wild and free without a leash. In addition, the park provides all the amenities you and Fido may need, including water, doggie poop bags, and a trash can. You won't have to bring anything from home except your pooch and yourself!
