Grab Fido and go on an awesome hike on the Black Creek Trail. This trail is 8-miles long with a concrete and asphalt ground covering, and will take you through a scenic forest and wetlands as it travels along the St. Johns River. You will pass by the Moccasin Slough Park, a 255-acre wildlife preserve and nature park that is home to a lot of native Florida wildlife. The park offers picnic tables and benches if you and Fido want to take a break before continuing your hike. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags with you since there are none avaiable on the trail.

Take your pup out to Spring Park for a fun day along the St. Johns River. This lovely park offers a pavilion for shade, a public pool, a picnic area, dock to fish off of, and restrooms for owners. The park is so welcoming to your leashed dog that they even provide clean-up bags for you in case you forget yours. Your pup will love the open grass area that he can run in, or the great walking path that the both of you can use for a good walk. If Fido isn't a fan of Spring Park, head over to the Augusta Savage Friendship Park instead. This smaller park offers plenty of grass that your pup can run along and a good path around it where you both can get a good walk in.
