South Ponte Vedra Beach Recreation Area is nestled just under GTM Research Reserve. It is the pawfect place to run and play the day away with your dog. It is a beautiful place that offers you beach access as long as you keep your dog on his leash and close by you. There are grills and picnic areas set up, so feel free to bring some food and make a day of it. Come catch some waves, dig moats for sand castles and just enjoy the fun in the sun. It is a great getaway for any day of the week.

Nocatee Community Park is just the right place to take your whole family, even all your little ones! This park has everything you could want and then some. There’s so much to do here that you’ll stay busy all day long. There is even an off-leash dog park that gives Fido space to run and play. Take a walk around the pond and enjoy the beauty of nature while Fido chases his favorite toy around the park. It is a great place to bring your family for a picnic, too. With so much to do, you will come often to meet friends and enjoy the day.

Paws Dog Park is just the right place if you are looking for a place designed just for Fido. This complex is fenced in so that your pawesome pal can run and play leash-free. You can relax in the shade on the benches and watch Fido run and play with his pawtastic new friends. There are trails to walk and ponds to splash around in when you get hot. Cleaning stations are provided throughout the park, so don’t fret if you forget to bring doggie waste bags. If Fido gets a little dirt in his fur from all that play, don’t worry -- there’s a doggie wash station so you can get all that gunk out of his fur before hopping back in the car.

Love the beach? Then it’s time to go to Mickler’s Landing. This is adjacent to the first public beach in Ponte Vedra. The best part is that it will satisfy your sense of adventure in a safe and fun way. The 20-foot high sand dunes are connected by bridges, allowing you to look deep out into the ocean. You may even see a shark in the distance! When you get down to ground level, scoop up some seashells and look for shark teeth among them.
