This Neptune Beach neighborhood has plenty of dining, shopping and other entertainment nearby! Atlantic Beach Dog Park is a dog-friendly beach; however, dogs are required to be kept on a leash when they are on the actual beach. The fenced-in portion of the dog park is located about one mile west of the beach. Pooches Playhouse is a local dog boarding and daycare facility that also hosts fun dog friendly events like a community dog wash one where you and your pooch can participate in a raffle, games and the chance to socialize with other dog lovers in the area!

Atlantic Beach

The Atlantic Beach is just up the road from Neptune Beach, offering gorgeous views, easy access to the Atlantic Ocean, and plenty of shopping and dining! Jack Russell Park is located on 12 acres of land and has a picnic pavilion, tennis courts, playground, soccer fields, walking paths and a beach! All areas of the park welcome leashed dogs, and doggies can even swim off-leash with their owners, but only if both owner and dog are together. Feeling hungry? Atlantic Beach has loads of dog-friendly restaurants in the area including Cantina Louie, Royal Palm Village Wine & Tapas, and Two Dudes Seafood Restaurant to name a few!

Jacksonville Beach

Jacksonville Beach is located about 2 miles south of Neptune Beach and offers a plethora of dining, shopping and dog friendly events in the area! Paws Dog Park is a fun off-leash dog park that has a large and small dog play area, watering dishes, benches and a waste station. Paws Park in Wingate Park is a fenced in, off-leash dog park that has a large and small dog area, automatic watering bowls, trees, benches and waste dispensing areas. Jacksonville and Neptune Beach allows leashed pups to have fun and swim before 9 AM or after 5 PM. However, nearby Atlantic Beach allows dogs that are on leash to enjoy it anytime!

Downtown Neptune Beach

Neptune Beach is a beautiful coastal, family-friendly community that offers plenty of plenty of dining and entertainment. Jarboe Park offers a playground, pavilion, open spaces and walking paths that you and your on-leash dog can enjoy! Feeling hungry after all that walking in the park? Ellen’s Kitchen, Lillie’s Coffee Bar, Southern Grounds & Co., and North Beach Fish Camp are a few of many doggie accommodating restaurants in Neptune Beach that allow them to enjoy their outdoor patio areas. Atlantic Highlands

The Atlantic Highlands neighborhood is situated along the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Boulevard. Castaway Island Preserve protects 300 acres of wildlife habitats and offers locals and their on-leash four legged companions a great getaway for the day! There is a walking trail that is 0.9 miles long, complete with viewing areas along the way. Patton Park also allows leashed dogs to take advantage of their open spaces and walking paths with their owners. Jerry’s Sports Grille hosts annual Chili-Cook-Offs that benefit the Friends of Jacksonville, which is a non-profit organization that dedicates themselves to taking care of homeless and abused animals.
