Just about 15 miles from Becker, Florida is the large Amelia Park area of Fernandina Beach. This area is the northern most part of Florida’s east coast and is a popular area for both tourists and Florida residents. The neighborhood boasts two dog parks, making it the paw-fect spot for you and your dog to explore! Fernandina Beach Main Beach Park isn’t a designated dog park, but your dog is allowed off his leash in areas away from the beach – just be sure to clean up after him! But, at the Nassau Humane Society Dog Park, your pooch will love the gorgeous park, complete with pools, shade, grass, and more for your furry friend.

Avondale
Avondale in Jacksonville is about a 35-minute drive from Becker. This beautiful neighborhood is a favorite in Jacksonville, featuring some of the city’s best places to enjoy the arts. The Riverside Arts Market welcomes your dog to join you as you enjoy local artists, farmer’s markets, events, and more. Bark Boutique is also in the neighborhood. Here, you can shop for unique goodies for your pup, while also treating her to some special grooming or even a special treat from the Pet Bakery! Al’s Pizza, Black Sheep, and Timoti’s Seafood Shack are all restaurants in Avondale that welcome your pooch to eat with you at their dog-friendly seating.

Oceanway
Just over 15 miles south of Becker is OceanWay in Jacksonville, Florida. This neighborhood is a popular oasis on the northern end of the city, with plenty for you and your dog to do. You and pooch will go mutts for OceanWay Park, with a fenced-in area for your pooch to run to his heart’s content. The park has separate areas for small and large dogs for safety and plenty of shade for your comfort. The neighborhood is also the home of Jacksonville’s PetSmart store, where you and your favorite pooch can shop for all the best foods and goodies to play with.

City Center in St. Mary’s, Georgia, is just about 13 miles from Becker, Florida, which sits close to the Florida-Georgia border. This neighborhood sits on the St. Mary’s River and contains history, shopping, arts, and more. Here, you can explore the Tommy Casey Memorial Dog Park, which is a fenced-in park with doggie waste bins and bags and sources of fresh water to keep your pooch hydrated. Fionn MacCool’s, for example, sits on The Jacksonville Landing and offers outside seating for you and your dog with a perfect view of the water and a fun atmosphere.
