If seafood's your scene, consider stopping in at Timoti's Seafood Shack. Their fried rice shrimp bowl is the stuff of local legend, and they cater to canines outside. For pizza, check out Pi Infinite Combinations, and chow down on a perfect pepperoni on their shaded outdoor patio. Craving a sweet treat? Grab a seat in the private courtyard at Island Time Premium Frozen Yoghurt, and be sure to try the Italian biscotti flavor!

Wonderwood

You'd have to be barking mad not to bring your pooch to Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park! You will have to keep your doggo on his leash, but with 450 acres to roam, he won’t mind one bit. The beaches are fur-friendly so Fido can catch some waves with you. Just be sure to supervise your pup at all times. There are also walking trails, bike trails, and plenty of new smells to explore. If you are feeling really adventurous, bring a tent and some camping supplies and set up shop right on the beach! There is so much to do and see that Fido will be begging to come back for more.

Jacksonville Downtown

Confederate Park Dog Park in Jacksonville's Downtown area is well worth traveling 24 miles for. This furrific park is one of the few free dog parks in the Yulee area. There's enough space here for even the most rambunctious of pooches to tire themselves out in, and the park has a separate small dog area, too, so your pup can play and socialize no matter their size. Bags and water are provided, and this park is pretty pawpular with the locals, so Fido will always have a chance to make some new fur-iends while you supervise him from the shaded seating area.

Amelia Island

Nassau Humane Society Dog Park in Fernandina Beach is only 15 miles from Yulee, and it's a real mutts-visit! You and your pooch can play and support a good cause at the same time -- there's a $10 fee for entry, but it all goes to support animals in need of a home. You can also make a further donation while you're at the park! That's not all though -- this dog park is a true pup's paradise. Not only is there plenty of room in both the small and large dog areas for your furbaby to leap about to their heart's content, there's even a swimming pool to cool down in! Bags and water are provided, so all you need to do is BYOB (Bring Your Own Beast)!

Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach is about a 35 minute drive from Yulee, but it is one of the few beaches in the area that will allow Fido to play in the water off-leash. You’ll need to stay in the water with your pooch at all times, though; otherwise, he needs to be on his leash. This beautiful beach is the perfect place to enjoy a day with the whole family. Bring the kids to build sand castles while your buddy digs moats, plays fetch, or just hangs out under the umbrella. Remember to bring your own drinking water, as well as waste bags to keep the area clean.
