Like everywhere in Florida, the Davis Park Dog Run park sits on a beautiful lake, and has plenty of acreage for puppies to run and play. Dogs get dirty at the park. It happens. They roll around in the grass, jump in the lake, and slobber. It’s fine, though, because there is a wash station on-site so you can rinse them off before you get them in the car. There is water and plenty of obstacles for them to run around and play on. The people who frequent this run are wonderful and responsible pet parents who welcome anyone.

Sawgrass

Hankering for a bite to eat with your hound? No need to worry. You’ll find a couple of Fido-friendly restaurants just north of Palm Valley in Ponte Vedra Beach's Sawgrass neighborhood. If you’re looking to grab a sandwich, Larry’s Giant Subs is the pawfect choice! Craving something a little more exotic? Then you absolutely must visit Pusser’s Caribbean Grill! Poppy’s Italiano and Flavor Palette are the other dog-friendly establishments in the area. Don’t fur-get to bring a leash and a water bowl! All these restaurants have outdoor seating areas where your furry friend is more than welcome to dine with you.

Atlantic Beach

The Atlantic Beach Dog Park is located right on the ocean! What more could you ask for in a dog park? It is an off-leash park that puppies love. It has a small pond in the middle with a fountain that the dogs really enjoy swimming in. There is also plenty of space around the pond for the pups to roam free and plenty of things to sniff. There are also fenced areas for the little dogs to be separated from the big ones. Playing in a pond means your pup will get a bit dirty, but that’s no problem, because there is a wash station so they do not ruin the interior of your car on the way home from this pawesome beach park.

Windy Hill

The muttropolis of Jacksonville is home to a plethora of dog-friendly activities, restaurants, and other amenities. Whether you’re looking for a place to get some mutts-needed off-leash exercise or want to chow down with your hound in the city, you’ll find something to suit your particularly taste for adventure in Windy Hill. This neighborhood, located 25 minutes away at a halfway point between Palm Valley and downtown Jacksonville, is home to a whopping 14 dog-friendly restaurants, as well as the spacious St. John’s Town Center Dog Park.

Jacksonville Beach

The Paws Park in Jacksonville Beach is like a lot of other dog parks that you will find in Florida. It has a pond that the pups are encouraged to play in, and plenty of space for them to run and play. The walking trails that surround the lake are perfect for strolls any time of day. The park does close at night, though. The sandy area provides plenty of play space for all the pups to socialize and get to know each other. The people who frequent this park love it, and they keep coming back, so your pal is sure to make some new fur-iends here!
