Veterans Park is a beautiful 50-acre park that offers some amazing amenities for you and Fido. The park is open every day of the week from dawn until dusk. Enjoy the playground, skate park, soccer fields, basketball courts, and restrooms that the park provides. If your dog is in a social mood, check out the dog park that is inside of Veterans Park. The 3-acre dog park is the perfect area to let your dog run around off leash in a safe space. The park offers a small and large dog section with water fountains, a picnic area, and agility courses.

Creekside

Saint Johns County Recreation is a great park to visit with your furry pal. This park is filled with numerous sports fields, as well as grass for fetch, and a concession stand. There is a great paved walking area around the park that Fido can use for his daily exercise, or take a walk on the grass that covers much of the park. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you since the park doesn't offer any shade. While visiting, your dog needs to stay on a leash, and don't forget to bring your clean-up bags along with you.

Whites Ford

Head over to the Whites Ford neighborhood if you and your pup are famished and need to a bite to eat. Hurricane's Grill and Wings offers tasty eats like burgers, beers, and desserts. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a great healthy alternative if you're looking for one. They offer light and filling options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Taps offers a cajun inspired menu, with options including Cuban sandwiches, jambalaya, and grits. All of these delicious restaurants offer dog friendly patios where you and your pup can sit down together and eat a great meal.

Rivertown Development

The Rivertown Park is a pawsome spot to take your water loving pup to. The park sits along the St. Johns River and offers some amazing amenities like baseball fields, restrooms for owners, and plenty of grass for fetch. The park is pretty big, giving you and Fido a great area to get a walk in on, especially on the paved walking trail that meanders throughout the park. The park also offers lights in case you are there after dark, but make sure to bring water with you since there isn't a lot of shade at the park. While visiting, your dog needs to stay on leash.

Switzerland

The Alpine Groves Park sits along the St. Johns River, and offers 54.5 acres of amazing space for your dog to run through. With a picnic area, fishing pier, bathrooms, a playground, pavilion, and kayak launch, your dog will love visiting this park with you. Take a hike along the paved nature trail that runs through the park and get a good walk in with your furry pal. Your leashed dog is more then welcome to join you while wandering the park, just make sure to clean-up after him. Don't forget your water while you are hiking to keep you both hydrated.
