Jacksonville is 22 miles north of Lakeside. Jacksonville is a large city with many dog parks and things for a pup and person to do. Confederate Point Dog Park is located at 949 Hubbard Street. This large downtown dog park has plenty of green grass for your dog to run off leash. This dog park has 2.87 acres of fully fenced ground. There is a separate area for small dogs. Dogs and people have water fountains designed for them. Large covered seating areas give the human companions some shade while watching their dogs. Waste bags and receptacles can be conveniently found.

Bay Meadows

South Jacksonville is 22 miles north of Lakeside. The Bay Meadows neighborhood of Jacksonville has many exciting activities for you and your pup. Dogwood Dog Park is located at 7407 Salisbury Road. Dogwood is a private dog park that is a pup’s pleasure paradise. The dog park has 42 acres, 25 of which are fully fenced for off-leash dog freedom and fun. The park allows dog and person to play frisbee or fetch in its expansive fields of green grass. The dog park itself has play equipment and a lake. A visitor may obtain a daily pass or purchase a monthly membership through the city.

Hidden Hills

The neighborhood of Hidden Hills in Jacksonville is 35 miles north of Lakeside. Ed Austin Dog Park is located at 11751 McCormick Road. This dog park is 4 acres of bark,grass,and trees that is fully fenced for off-leash exercise and socialization. Ed Austin has a group of dedicated local dogs and their people, but welcome visitors at no charge. The dog park has water available on-site. A hose and kiddie pools make for a cool splash down. Waste bags are supplied. Benches and chairs scattered around the dog park, and sometimes moved under a shade tree, give the human companion a place to watch their pup.

St. Augustine

St. Augustine is 43 miles east of Lakeside. St. Augustine has much to offer a person with a pup. Veterans Park Dog Park is located at 1332 Veterans Parkway. This is a 3-acre, fully fenced dog park that allows unleashed dogs to run, sniff, and socialize. A smaller area is reserved for smaller dogs so that they, too, can safely get to know each other. The dog park has drinking fountains that serve the need for dog and person. Waste bags stations are always in handy reach for that necessary cleanup. A covered shelter gives human companions a shaded rest spot while watching their pup.

Orange Park

Orange Park is just 5 miles north of Lakeside. Poochie’s Swim and Play Park is located at 21 Fountain Drive. Poochie’s is a membership-based business. However, regular non-visitors may purchase a daily pass to use the dog park. Poochie’s Dog Park is a spectacular combination of the features of a good dog park. The 3.5-acre, fully enclosed dog park has a nature trail, agility equipment, and a pond. The small dogs are kept safe in their own fenced area. Poochie’s also offers a variety of other services. Poochie’s has a day camp and also offers boarding. Also, there is dog training both in group and private lessons.
