Hello my name is Jay! I have a miniature schnauzer named Alfred (Batman fan I am). I am very active and energetic! I like playing with dogs to help get all their bundled up energy out. My friends would also say I have the patience of a saint because I am so calm and willing to work with excitable or hyper pups. I look forward to meeting your lovable pup

“Living the dream, working with pets!”
I am a Jacksonville native and have had dogs all my life. I am a parent to a beautiful, friendly Labrador Retriever. I really like working with animals and taking dogs on walks. They’re appreciative and it adds daily exercise to my life. I also board dogs in our home. I adore cats too and also provide services for them.

I have been sharing my affection with puppy companions my entire life. I volunteered as a green belt at Best Friends Atlanta adoption center. I have an open heart and time schedule for any pup (adults included) in need of a potty break or a good jog around the community or baths and vet visits when needed. As a military personnel, I take pride in being able to serve my community and provide safety to both human and furry residents of Florida. I hope to meet all of the wagging tails I can soon.

I have had the pleasure of having 3 dogs, 1 adopted and rescued. I am very comfortable with all breeds and sizes, my family has pittbulls, a german shephard, a maltese, 2 yorkies, and dachshund, all of which I have dog sat, or boarded in my home. I adopted my yorkie mix so that my other yorkie would have a playmate and brother. I have experience with walking multiple dogs at once and caring for multiple dogs as well.

My love of animals started when I was a little girl. Most of my furry friends were cats but I have a few best friends that have paws as well. Currently my best friend is my cocker spaniel named Brindle Lee who I have had since he was eight weeks old and he is seven years old now. He’s like Fozy Bear off the Muppets and I love him like he is one of my children

Located on Amelia Island in Nassau County, Florida, Fernandina Beach is a beautiful city with gorgeous scenery you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. With sandy beaches and sunny skies, it’s easy to see why dog lovers would flock to this city -- especially when you take into consideration all the activities you and Fido can get swept up in. Whether you’re a Fernandina Beach native, or if you’re just paying a short visit, there’s plenty of ways to spend time with your precious pooch in this quaint locale!
From any of the 34 dog-friendly restaurants to the tours and parks in town, you and your pup pal are sure to have a blast. Be sure to stop in at Fernandina Beach Main Beach Park, a dog-friendly locale where your furry friend will be welcome to roam off their leash as long as they’re within the bounds of the park. If you want to explore the beaches, they’ll need to be leashed, but that shouldn’t stop you from having a doggone good time! Just bring some swimming clothes for yourself and plenty of fresh drinking water for your canine companion. Also, bring doggy waste bags in case you need to clean up any messy mishaps.
Make your way to Amelia Island, a nearby neighborhood where you’ll find the Nassau Humane Society Dog Park. Like most dog parks, this park has two separate sections for small and large breeds over and under 30 lbs. Each section is fenced in and features size-appropriate pools for your dog to splash around in and have a general good time! There are plenty of shady benches for you to sit and relax while your pup goes dog wild in the park; just be sure that your dog is spayed and kept up-to-date on their vaccinations. You'll also need to a pay a fee to access this members-only dog park.
Next stop, shuffle on over to Central Fernandina Beach, a bustling area where your social butterfly of a pup will flourish. One stop definitely worth making in this area is the venture to the Old Towne Carriage Company. If you’re looking for a tour around the most historic parts of town, this is where you’ll want to be. Your dog is free to join you on your carriage ride, as long as they’re well-behaved and you’re prepared to pick up after your puppy. Enjoy the horse-drawn ride and take in the local culture and history, and be sure your pup is comfortable with those big doggies pulling the carriage!
Another stop that is definitely worth making in Fernandina Beach is the home of the Amelia River Cruises and Charters. With a number of dog-friendly tours to choose from, including a twilight BYOB cruise as well as a kid-friendly option, among others, your toughest decision will be choosing which cruise to explore first! Your leashed dog is welcome to join you at no additional cost, so all you’ll need to do is bring a bit of fresh drinking water for Fido, and plenty of excitement. As always, you’ll need to clean up after pup, but that’s no problem!
Venture on down to southern Fernandina Beach, where you’ll find the perfect location to treat your precious pup to a bit of adventure and the opportunity to make new friends. South Fernandina Beach is home to Hot Paws Pet Spa and Resort, where your pup will be sure to have a blast interacting with dogs of a similar size in one of the three fenced-in areas. If you’ve got some errands to run, leave your pup to run off some energy where they’ll be carefully supervised in each fenced-in play area. Take it easy on this breezy beach!
Last but not least, if you’re eager for a delicious bite to eat, you’d be doggone crazy to miss out on the opportunity to dine at 29 South Eats. A homey restaurant located in a restored historical house, the wide open porch hosts seven dog-friendly tables where your canine companion will be treated like royalty. With seasonable and sustainably sourced options, you can feel rest easy knowing your meal was made with only the freshest local ingredients. Your pup is sure to have a grand old time as well -- after all, with all these delicious scents, how on Earth could she not?
