North Atlantic Avenue

This Beach Haven neighborhood is home to Brant Beach, a white-sand beach that offers stunning views of Barnegat Bay. Dogs are welcome on-leash on this beach from October to March. Bring some water and doggy bags, and have a great time strolling on the sand with your dog. After the beach, take your pup shopping with you at nearby Bay Village! Many of the shops in Bay Village allow dogs in their stores. The shopping center has tons of cute shops to explore, including candy shops, souvenir shops, and galleries featuring local artists. There’s also a pawesome pet store here, Buddy’s Pet Stop, where you can get a dog biscuit or a new toy for your dog. Your dog is sure to love shopping here!

Engleside Avenue

This neighborhood is home to Veterans Memorial Park, where dogs are welcome on-leash. This small community park has brick pathways where you can walk your pup. You can also choose to walk your dog on the park’s open fields. Whichever way you choose, you’re sure to have a great time walking here! If you want to grab a bite to eat after your walk, head over to The Salad Bar at Engleside Inn. This restaurant welcomes dogs at their poolside outdoor tables. While you’re here, you can enjoy seafood dishes, sandwiches, paninis, and hearty burgers. This laidback restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine with your furry best friend.

West 10th Street

Want to let your dog play off-leash? Head over to Barnegat Light Dog Park, which is about 15 miles from Beach Haven. Here, your dog can play in one large, fenced-in field. The field is double-gated, keeping your pup safe and secure. There’s also water available for your pup, and there are toys in the park they can play with. To use the dog park, you’ll have to get a Paw Pass. To obtain this pass, you’ll need to fill out a form, bring it to Barnegat Light’s Borough Hall, and pay a small fee. Once you do that, you can use this fun dog park as often as you like!

Lakeside Drive

This Tuckerton neighborhood has a fun place to take an on-leash walk with your dog: Tip Seaman County Park. Located 21 miles from Beach Haven, this park has a paved path that winds through the whole park. Along the way, you’ll pass by a playground, sports fields, and the beautiful Pohatcong Lake. If you want to relax with your pup after your walk, there are plenty of picnic tables and benches located right on Pohatcong Lake. If you'd like to get lunch with your dog after your walk, take them over to Dockside Café. This riverfront restaurant offers six dog-friendly outdoor tables, and serves burgers, sandwiches, salads, seafood, and more.

Manahawkin

Stafford Township’s Manahawkin neighborhood is home to Manahawkin Lake Park III, a great place to take your dog for an on-leash walk. This park is 12 miles from Beach Haven, and it has a lakeside path that’s perfect for leisurely walks with your dog. There’s also a beautiful gazebo where you can sit and look at the lake with your pup. Bring water and doggy bags with you, and enjoy strolling here. If you need to cool down after your walk, head over to Carvel Ice Cream. This ice cream shop has a number of dog-friendly outdoor tables where you can sit with your pup and enjoy sundaes, milkshakes, and scoops of ice cream.
