The locals often walk their dogs in this park, so you're sure to make some new friends!

Nichols Park, located at 898 Bloomfield Avenue, is very popular with people walking their canine companions. This 12-acre park has a large open space, a picnic area, a small creek, and a walking path. DeMuro Park on Margaret Avenue is a venue for many of the city's events.  DeMuro has a large walking track and a very large open space. This park is well-loved by people and their leashed canine companions.

This small town competes with its big city counterparts when it comes to restaurants for a person and their dog to visit. Chestnut Cafe & Eatery serves American cuisine from 7 am to 3 pm seven days a week. The restaurant welcomes dogs to dine with their people at one of their outdoor tables  MEAL,  located on Kingsland Street,  dishes up some hearty American fare like steak and pork chops. Wood chips cover the ground in the enclosures. Shade trees near some benches give a place for the tired human to rest. If you forgot to bring that water bottle, don't fret -- water is supplied at the park. There is even a hose for a quick rinse. A good supply of waste baggies makes necessary pickups a breeze.

Van Saun Dog Park says it is a good day to be a pup!  There are two fully fenced enclosures for off-leash excitement.  The ground of the enclosures is covered in a fine gray gravel. Some people dislike the gravel, but dogs don't seem deterred from their play because of it. Water at the dog park is iffy, so bring a water bottle just in case. Waste baggies are in good supply.

    Ridgewood is seventeen miles north of Nutley. Ridgewood Dog Park can be found in the Saddle County Park. It leads the pack in giving your pup a woof-wonderful day! This is a fully fenced enclosure for ridding that leash and making some furry pals or getting some exercise. A separate fenced area lets the small dogs do their own thing in a safe space. The ground in this pooch playground is a mixture of mulch, grass, and dirt.  No water is here, so bring those bottles. Shade and seating for the human companion is limited. Dogs enjoy checking out the duck pond and creek right outside of the dog park. A bit of a splash on a hot summer's day makes for pawfect end to the day!
