Located seven miles from Garden City and just outside the Magnolia Pointe condo complex, this park has separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. Both areas have plenty of trees to provide shade on hot days, and water is available for thirsty dogs. After the park, continue your fun day out with lunch at Moe Moons. This laid-back restaurant serves a wide variety of seafood dishes, as well as burgers, tacos, wings, and sandwiches. Dogs are welcome at their outdoor tables, and your server will even bring your dog water and treats!

Moss Creek
Located five miles from Garden City, Moss Creek is home to Freeway Park, an off-leash dog run your pup is sure to love. To use this dog park, you’ll have to pay a small fee. Once you do that, you can stay as long as you like! While you’re here, your dog can run and play in the park’s separate small and large dog areas. They can also go swimming in the park’s clean, shallow pond. If your pup gets messy, doggy showers are available. Located six miles from Garden City just outside the Woodland Park neighborhood, this park has two hiking trails that welcome dogs on-leash: the 0.5-mile Sculptured Oak Trail and the 0.4-mile Yaupon Trail. Both of these trails will you through a forest filled with native trees, and they’ll take you past a lovely pond. Myrtle Beach State Park is also home to a beautiful beach that allows dogs. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, dogs are only allowed on the beach before 10 AM and after 5 PM. At all other times, dogs can be on the beach at any time of day. Bring water and doggy bags, and have a fun time at this park!
