Owasso, Oklahoma may be a small town, but its' location provides a lot to offer in terms of recreational and cultural opportunities. The Owasso Dog Park is currently in the making, as part of the city's parks master plan, although there is no set date for its' completion yet. Not to worry - the city's parks allow on-leash dogs, so there's still a way to enjoy the outdoors with Fido!

Elm Creek Park is a good choice, due to the wide open spaces, walking track, restrooms, and picnic shelters. McCarty Park has a unique layout, complete with rodeo grounds! It is spread out over 12 acres, so there's plenty of space to enjoy. Friendship Park is one of Owasso's most scenic parks, containing a beautiful gazebo and butterfly garden.

Need to take a hike? Several trails are just a short drive away from Owasso, including the Claremore Lake Trail, which is a mile-long paved path that boasts lakeside views. The Mingo Trail, in nearby Tulsa, is almost nine miles long, so it's excellent for an all-day activity or heart-pumping workout! Noted for being peaceful and traveling through several of the city's parks, the Mingo Trail is sure to bring a wag to your dog's tail.
