Hello, my name is Lisa and I am part of Ventura County Community. My love for dogs started at an early age when my family began to rescue dogs. In continuance of this appreciation I would enjoy walking your dog and show the same respect and admiration that I would give to my own dog. I am skilled at interpreting the body language of dogs and experienced with assorted leash and collars. It would be my pleasure to get to know your dog and take them out for an enjoyable walk.

Hi! I'm Emily. Obviously I love dogs (who doesn't?) and growing up in Southern California, I love being outdoors. Why not combine the two? I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, bunnies..etc. I've always felt that a house without a pet is not a home. I currently live with an American Bulldog, a Pitte, and my cat, Spartacus. I walk my dogs 3-4 times a day, they are large dogs so I have gotten use to walking big doggies. I've been pet sitting since I was a kid. My duties included: feeding, walking, cleaning litter, and of course, giving lots of love. One of my clients hired me because I was the only person that her Cocker Spaniel trusted. I've never met a dog I didn't like and I'm pretty confident that the feelings are mutual. I can handle most breeds and sizes. I can't wait to meet your furry friend!

Naval Air Station Point Mugu is a former Navy base located in the unincorporated community of Point Mugu, CA. This base operated from the 1940s to 2000, when it merged with another base to form Naval Base Ventura County.
Today, Point Mugu is a scenic little pit stop along the famous Pacific Coast Highway, and it’s also a dog-friendly locale you and Fido won’t want to miss! This sparsely populated community is home to approximately five miles of gorgeous California coastline and 70 miles of hiking trails that you and your pooch will pawsitively love exploring! In case of accident or emergency, you’ll find several veterinary clinics in nearby Port Hueneme, CA.
You won’t find many amenities for dogs, like dog parks and restaurants, here, but you will find plenty of op-paw-tunities for outdoor adventure! The local state park offers unrivalled views of the Santa Monica Mountains, in addition to enough hiking trails to keep you and Fido occupied all day. Or, paw on over to Leo Carrillo State Park, just a little further southeast along the Pacific Coast Highway, where you and your pooch can swim, surf, and marvel at coastal caves and tidepools! Leashed dogs are welcome everywhere except on South Beach and the park’s backcountry trails.
Tortillas Grill And Cantina will make both you and your pooch happy. This casual hot spot is the place to be for some delicious traditional Mexican food, and they allow pups! Take a seat with your furry friend at one of their outdoor tables. They offer a wide menu of authentic dishes, from breakfast to dinner entrees to desserts. What’s better? Most of the menu items are less than $10. Many of their ingredients are locally grown. Some locals call their pica de gallo the best around! They are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and are closed Sunday.
Looking to take a walk on the wild side? Load up your pup and drive to Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, just 10 miles west of Point Mugu. You’re looking for Satwiwa Loop Trail. It’s an easy trail that spans about two-and-a-half miles. You’ll see natural beauty ranging from native wildflowers to deer and coyotes. Your beloved canine is welcome to join you. Just make sure to keep him on a leash and clean up after him. There is paved parking at the trailhead, along with water fountains and restrooms. The park is open from 8 a.m. to sunset every day.
College Park Dog Park is the closest off-leash dog park to Point Mugu. It’s only about a 10-minute drive, and your pup will love you furrever if you make the trip! It’s a great place for your dog, no matter his size; there’s an area for larger doggos and another area for smaller hounds. The park comes equipped with a number of items that will make for a barkworthy experience. Between the agility apparatus, water fountains and shade areas, your pup won’t want to leave anytime soon. There are also benches for you, along with drinking fountains. For an extra fee, you can also take your pooch to the wash station.
Mandarin Bistro is a casual Chinese eatery located about 12 miles from Point Mugu. Enjoy a variety of authentic foods with your pup at one of the 6 dog-friendly outdoor tables. Meat lovers can feast on beef, shrimp, chicken or fish dishes while vegetarians can choose from a vast meatless menu. Those who are health conscious can select one of the steamed dishes. Mandarin Bistro is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. They’re open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. If you feel like staying home with your pooch, remember they deliver within a three-mile radius.
Point Mugu State Park sits about 15 miles down the coast from Point Mugu and is located in the Santa Monica Mountains. You and your pooch can explore 5 miles of shoreline, dunes, valleys, and hills. Dogs are welcome at the park’s campgrounds, day use areas, and beaches. Just be sure to keep them on a leash! Unfortunately, your pup isn’t allowed on the backcountry trails or dirt roads. For humans, the park offers several activities, including biking, boating, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, geocaching and wildlife viewing. The beaches open at 8 a.m. and close at sunset, and the campgrounds are open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
