Dog Walking in Santa Paula

Santa Paula is nestled between the beautiful orchards of the Santa Clara River Valley in Ventura County. In 1890, the town was the center of California’s petroleum industry and home to the Union Oil Company Building. Today, Santa Paula is a tourist city mostly known for being the citrus capital of the world.

Santa Paula has four veterinary hospitals that your dog can get a checkup at. With 18 pawsome parks, Santa Paula pups have their choice of outdoor adventure spots! Stop by Dennison Park which has a great walking trail and picnic area, or Toland Park which has a fun hiking trail for the two of you to explore.

Although Santa Paula is small, it does has a few dog-friendly hotels that your dog can stay at with you. Check out Glen Tavern Inn for a traditional room. For the adventurous, Ventura Ranch KOA is a campground that you can park your RV, pitch a tent, or even rent a cabin for a nice relaxing evening with your pup before you continue on your travels.

Although Santa Paula is small and not a bigger city which Fido may be used to, he will still love the hominess that Santa Paula has to bring.
