Ojia/ Santa Paula Rd
The Rose Valley Falls Trail is a great spot to take your dog for an afternoon adventure. The Rose Valley Falls Trail is a simple 0.75-mile hike through the Los Padres National Forest. The hike has a small stream that your dog can splash in, but beware that the ground can be a little uneven at times. If you want to go for a longer hike, then check out the Santa Paula Canyon and Punch Bowls Trail. This trail is right under 7-miles and has an elevation of 1194 feet. The trail has a waterfall. Be sure to keep your dog leashed in this public area.

If you and your dog are foodies, you need to check out the Hillview Estates Telegraph neighborhood, which is home to two great eateries that your dog and you can visit together. Mupu Grill serves up American comfort food, including soups and sandwiches, and has a patio in front of their restaurant that welcomes your dog. Rabalais Bistro and Bakery offers Cajun and Creole cooking with a dog friendly patio that is located on the historic Main Street of Santa Paula. Rabalais Bistro and Bakery also has a full coffee bar and bakery that the two of you can enjoy together.

The Mitchell Edelson Dog Park at Soule Park is a pawesome dog park to visit for some off-leash fun. Located in the town of Ojai only ten minutes away from Santa Paula, your dog won’t mind the drive for this pawsome park. This dog park has two separate areas for small and large dogs with a double gate enclose to help ensure your dog cannot escape the park. The park also features benches for owners to relax on, big oak trees to help shade, and doggie water fountains. Mainly grass, this park is a pupperific place for your best furry friend.

Casitas Springs
The town of Ventura is just down the road from Santa Paula, and is home to the Ojai Valley Trail. This dogtastic trail is great to visit with your dog exploring and having a good time. The trail is 9.3-miles long and has an asphalt surface for the two of you to walk on. The Ojia Valley Trail runs along the Ventura River, and is popular with bike riders and horseback riders. There are awesome views along the trail, like an oak grove and a railroad tie bridge. Make sure to bring water for Fido to drink, and some clean-up bags for the hike.

College Terrance
Sixteen miles away from Santa Paula is the Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura, a great park to let your dog explore. While visiting the park, your dog needs to stay on leash unless you visit before 9 a.m. when the park begins to get busy. This park offers a lot of amenities for you and your dog to enjoy, such as hiking trails, playgrounds, big open spaces, picnic tables, and BBQ areas. Be cautious when you are hiking the hills since there have been sights of mountain lions and rattlesnakes. Make sure to bring plenty of water for the two of you to drink and clean-up bags.
