This pawesome neighborhood is a great place for you and your pooch to have some fun in the sun! Rincon Beach Park is home to a hiking trails and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Swimming, picnicking, surfing, and bird-watching are some of the favorite activities here. Just north of Rincon Creek, you'll find a pup-friendly beach where you and your leashed canine companion can enjoy a walk together. The sand on the beach is soft and the trail is easy to navigate. You will need to bring some water and doggie waste bags for cleaning up.

Campanil

Arroyo Burro Beach Park is located in the southern region of the Campanil neighborhood, 12 miles from Capinteria. This is an off-leash beach which welcomes dogs to come and play! You will need to have your pooch on their leash until you reach the beach, but once there they can run free on the soft sand and jump into the calm surf. The shoreline has quite a few rocks along it, which provide a makeshift barrier for the dogs. The beach provides waste bags and trash receptacles near the entrance. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a towel to dry yourself and your pooch with. Grab your umbrella for shade and head over to this fantastic beach!

Douglas Family Preserve

A skip and a hop away from the Arroyo Burro Beach Park is Douglas Family Preserve, a scenic, 70-acre retreat complete with hiking trails and amazing views. This off-leash space isn't fenced, so you will need to keep a watchful eye on your furry friend, especially since there are cliffs nearby which may be dangerous. Your pup will love hiking along the many trails with you. The trails are easy to navigate, and there are plenty of smells to keep Fido occupied along the way. Douglas Family Preserve also allows dogs to run off-leash at the beach! You will need to bring water, doggy waste bags, a towel and possibly an umbrella for shade. This is a beautiful place to enjoy with your furry friend!

Lookout Park

This is the perfect neighborhood for you and your pooch to enjoy a day at the beach. It is located only 6 miles from Carpinteria, California and is home to Summerland Beach. Feel free to let your pooch off their leash so they can fully enjoy the sand and surf. Parking is available nearby. Because the beach is spacious, it's not usually crowded, which makes it pawfect for shy or timid dogs. You will want to bring water, towels, supplies for cleaning up and something for shade since you will be directly in the sun. Don't fur-get to bring some sunscreen for yourself, too.

Waterfront

If you'd rather hike along the beach rather than play off-leash in the waves, Santa Barbara's Waterfront neighborhood has the pawfect place for you. The Oceanfront Trail is a sandy trail that runs along the shoreline. There are some grassy areas along the way for your pooch to sniff around. This is a beautiful scenic trail where you can enjoy gorgeous ocean views. You will need to pack water and some doggy waste bags for cleaning up after your pooch.
