Wheeler Springs
The Piedra Blanca Trail is a simple 2.5-mile hike through the Los Padres National Forest. The trail starts out by crossing the Sespe Creek, then continues through the forest to give you a beautiful scenic view. While hiking, the two of you may even see one of California’s endangered condors as they are known to live in this forest. Be sure to check your dog when walking the trail since it is known for having overgrown thorny plants throughout the hike. If you want to continue your hike, this trail connects to the Rose Valley Falls Trail. Don't forget to bring plenty of water for your dog to drink and some clean-up bags.

Downtown East
The Mitchell Edelson Dog Park at Soule Park is a great space to let your dog run around off-leash. The dog park has two separate fenced in areas, one for large dogs and another for small dogs, as well as benches for owners to sit on, trees for shade, and a doggie water fountain for your pooch to stay hydrated. If your dog wants to explore more, then take him for a stroll in the surrounding Soule Park. This park has two big shaded areas, plus a lot of grass for rolling and fetch.

Ojai West Village
The Ojai Valley Trail is the perfect trail to take your dog on for a nice hike, and features 9.3-miles of a mainly asphalt path. The trail follows the former Ventura and Ojai Valley Railroad, and runs along the Ventura River. If your dog wants to continue his hike after you’ve finished the Ojai Valley Trail, it connects to the Ventura River Trail. After a great hike, check out Agave Maria’s, Marche Gourmet Delicatessens, or Osteria Monte Grappa which all have dog friendly patios and delicious food that the two of you can enjoy.

Mira Monte
If you and your pup are looking for a delicious restaurant to grab a bite to eat, head over to the Mira Monte neighborhood and check out Full of Beans. Full of Beans is a pawsome coffee house that caters to both owners and their dogs. They offer dog biscuits, water and even a leash holder to keep your dog safe while visiting. Full of Beans has loads of tasty pastries, rolls, and croissants for owners, as well as smoothies and espresso drinks. They even have outdoor extensions to attach your horse to outside, just like back in the day.

Downtown Ventura
About 14 miles out of Ojai is the town of Ventura, home to The Wine Rack. The Wine Rack welcomes well behaved dogs and allows you to taste wine with your furry companion. If your furry friend wants to run, then check out the nearby Mission Park. This park is a great spot to get a walk in. Afterwards, head to Capriccio inside of the park. This dog-friendly bistro serves authentic Italian cuisine and has an outdoor patio that welcomes your dog to join you. Downtown Ventura has a plethora of other dog-friendly restaurants if these two don’t fit your fancy, such as Winchesters Grill and Saloon or Barrelhouse 101.
