Enjoy a fun day out with your pooch in Shawnee at Herman Laird Park. The green grassy park has an uneven surface for your pooch to run up and down small hills. The tall leafy trees are spread throughout the park for plenty of shady places to sit during the summer. There is plenty to see in this active community park which often hosts events of the community. The park hosts a magnificent life-size statue of the Shawnee Chief, Charles Bluejacket, and residents often enjoy the peaceful sounds of the fountain nearby. The Historic Plaza has restrooms and paved parking to make your visit more convenient.
