Ranson Road

James A. Reed Memorial Wildlife Area is about half an hour from you. You will find that it has ponds to fish in, trails to explore and even places to ride your horse. You can call ahead and get a permit to allow your dog off of his leash to play. You have to show that your dog is well-behaved, hunt trained, and ready to obey voice commands. All of the trails are clearly marked so that you can enjoy them without getting lost. There is no running water, so you will need to bring your own. You must have a leash with you at all times, even if you have a no-leash permit.

Colbern Road

You can take your dog with you to visit Stonehaus Farms Vineyard. They have an outdoor patio that gives you a panoramic view of the vineyard and berry farm. You can sample different wines or order a bottle of your favorite. They do give tours, but all dogs have to be approved when making the reservation. You will love the friendly, quiet atmosphere here. While you can bring your dog, you cannot bring your children to this establishment. It is a thirty-minute drive to get here. However, it is well worth it to have a quiet place to go and sip wine with your best fur-iend by your side.

The Water Tower

Happy Tails Park is located near the town's water tower. It is a completely gated, four-acre dog park. You can let your dog off of his leash here so he can stretch his legs and make some new fur-iends. There are trails within the fence so that you can walk with your dog. You will find agility equipment to play with your dog as well. This is a local favorite because it is very well-maintained and clean. There is no water here, so you will need to bring your own. It is about half an hour from East Lynne, but your dog will be so happy you made the drive!

Main Street

If you are looking for a classic pub with great food, then you really should make the half-hour trip to Konrad's Kitchen and Tap House in Lee's Summit. You can get your favorite burger, pizza, and even grilled salmon. The Bison Burger is a local favorite. The outdoor table is a great place to sit with your friends and enjoy live music with your delicious food.  Yes, it is a half an hour drive, but you can bring your dog with you, so it is more than worth the effort.

Third Street

Third Street Social as a small restaurant that has five outdoor tables where you can bring your dog for some epic food. Creole Shrimp is the local favorite. It is just the right amount of spicy. Of course, you could get some good ol' comfort food like meatloaf and mashed potatoes. They are open from brunch to late night snacks most nights. Come on over and meet up with your friends with your fur buddy in tow. He is as welcome as you are. There's often another dog or two eating here, so your pup is sure to make a new fur-iend!
