Upper Washington Avenue

Upper Washington Avenue

In less than half an hour, you and your doggo can get to an area of Albany, New York known as Upper Washington Avenue. This area is home to the Westland Hills Dog Park, an off-leash dog park within a city park. The rest of Westland Hills Park has sports fields and courts, playgrounds, and a pool. Most of these other park areas are dog-friendly, as long as your dog is on a leash. The dog park is open daily from dawn to dusk, and it doesn't separate dogs by size. Within the off-leash park, there are water and waste stations, seating areas, and wading pools for dogs.

Troy is a city of nearly 50,000 people in Rensselaer County, New York on the eastern edge of the Hudson River. The southeastern corner of the city is home to an area called Albia, and this is where you'll find the Kinloch Park Dog Park. It's less than a half-hour drive from Malta, and it's a delightful spot to socialize and exercise with your dog. The park is only about the size of a tennis court, and it doesn't separate dogs by their weight. There's no water source at the dog park, so make sure to bring your own.
