I love dogs and they love me. I have been a loving and doting pet mom since I was 8. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for the past 5 years. I have walked dogs as large as Great Danes and as small as yorkies I have 2 English bulldogs and am very familiar with short nose dog breathing issues in the heat.

Dog Walking in Ringwood

Located in the Ramapo Mountains, in the heart of the Highlands, Ringwood is an area abundant in natural beauty. With both large state parks and smaller neighborhood parks to explore, as well as dog-friendly restaurants and two animal hospitals, Ringwood is the pawfect place to visit with your pooch.

There are so many pawtastic walks to be had in Ringwood, with many of these found in the 5416 acre Norvin Green State Forest, which Ringwood provides access to. This park is famous for having one of the largest concentrations of hiking trails in New Jersey, although keep in mind that the majority of them are quite challenging.

If your pup would prefer a smaller park, there are plenty to choose from, such as Jenkins Park, which is home to a baseball field, a basketball court and a playground. Pioneer Park, which is also known as Painted Forest, is also popular, with its basketball court, large play area, and paved walking path.

For dogs who enjoy being wined and dined, Arta Restaurant has three outdoor tables where dogs are allowed to dine with their owners. Here, you and Fido can sample some authentic upscale Italian cuisine, with rotating daily specials to ensure that you always have something new to taste.

With an endless amount of walks to be had, your pooch will no doubt love exploring all that Ringwood has to offer.
