Marshall Hill

West Milford is located ten miles north of Kinnelon. West Milford Dog Park is operated by the Pequannock Feed & Supply Store. The feed store knows how to treat its customers right -- the two-legged and the four-legged ones! This free public dog park has over an acre of fully fenced property for dogs to play leash-free. The dog park even has a separately fenced area just for the smaller dogs. Agility equipment, including A-frames, beams, and tunnels, add to the variety of exercise. It is a pawfect place for dogs to sniff out a few new pals! The ground is grass and patches of dirt, which can get muddy after a rain. The provided hose comes in handy for a rinse-off before the ride home. Human folk will find plenty of benches in the shade, and waste baggies are supplied by the dog park.

Beverwyck

Parsippany is located fifteen miles south of Kinnelon. Cameron Dog Park has a large stretch of grassy space for a pup's leash-free fun! A separately fenced section is reserved for the small dogs, too. This dog park is on a slight slope and has uneven terrain. People with mobility problems will need to be extra careful navigating it. Pups' paws barely touch the ground as they soar up the hillside following a new furry bud. A tunnel attracts some curious noses and a few courageous canines run through it. Water is available on the property, but shade and seating are at a premium. Doggie baggies are amply stocked. This dog park is maintained by the city. Visitors need to register and pay a small fee.

Bellevue Ave

Montclair is located eighteen miles south of Kinnelon. Brookdale Dog Park offers doggos a doggone good time! This very pupular dog park has two separately fenced areas for off-leash freedom. The ground is a gravel mulch that keeps pups relatively clean even on a rainy day. No muddy paws in this dog park! Drinking water is available on the premises for people and their furry friends. Several pieces of agility equipment offer an opportunity for extra training. Dogs run up ramps and get some additional exercise. The human companions have numerous shaded benches from which to supervise their four-legged friends. Waste stations are stocked with doggie waste baggies making those necessary pick-ups a snap.

Riverside Avenue East

Lyndhurst is located twenty-one miles east of Kinnelon. Riverside County Dog Park puts some wiggle and waggle back into the tails of dogs needing some fun sans leash! This fully fenced dog playground has a large dog and a small dog area. The surface is a clean gravel mulch which only leaves a smudge on a wet nose. The dog park provides drinking water, water bowls, and a hose for a quick rinse off or a cool down on a hot summer's day. Numerous toys, including frisbees and tennis balls, are scattered throughout the dog park. Pet parents have shaded benches for a comfy time watching their pups play.

West Morristown

Morristown is located twenty-one miles south of Kinnelon. Lewis Morris Dog Park is the happening haunt for hounds lookin' for a howlin' good time leash-free. This fully fenced enclosure has a large dog area and a separately fenced spot for the smaller pups. The dog park does not have water immediately available. However, the main park's restrooms are but a short walk from the dog park. The surface of this dog park is paved. Human companions have mixed feelings about the ground cover -- some people dislike the lack of grass, but dogs certainly don't complain! The dog park doesn't get muddy like many other parks. Benches are positioned around the dog park, and trees along the perimeter make for some decent shade.
