There are a few neighboring towns and cities that have some dog-friendly spots, like Luther, which offers the Tres Suenos Vineyards and Winery. The area has hiking trails on which Spot is welcome, as well as outdoor picnic tables to sit with your pup and taste some wine. The town center of Edmond is about 40 minutes from Chandler, but is chock-full of restaurants that welcome dogs, as well as grooming salons, training centers, and more.

About 45 miles from Chandler is Downtown Oklahoma City. Visit the Boathouse District and rent a kayak to share with your pup for a day on the water. The dog-friendly area features campsites, picnic pavilions, sporting courts, a swimming beach, boat docks, and more. The nearby Chandler Lake is another pupular spot for fishing, boating, and even some duck hunting. Your outdoor-loving dog will be begging to head to this area often!

One of the best features of this dog park is that your pup will even have an area that lets her splash in the lake on hot summer days! The neighborhood is within a few minutes’ drive of dog-friendly restaurants to satisfy some hungry bellies after a day of fun in the sun.

The Patriarch is one of the most pupular places to go with your dog, thanks to its huge outdoor patio that welcomes furry friends. Head there on a weekend and you can even enjoy some live music. If you’re looking for a great place for some burgers, try Flat Tire Burgers, which also has several outdoor tables that welcome your dog.

Your pooch will fall in love with Lakehurst’s PawPark, which has separate areas for large and small dogs (both are spacious!) and even has access to the water to encourage your pooch to cool off and have some fun. Head to Kamp’s 1910 Café for a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with its dog-friendly seating area.
