Check out one of Gardner’s most fur-iendly areas, the Parma neighborhood! Located in the heart of town, this neighborhood is where you and your leashed dog can experience the Gardner Greenway! This 1.6-mile paved multiuse trail meanders through the area, providing a woofderful naturally landscaped corridor that’s perfect for exercising with your pooch. The pathway is especially beautiful in warmer months as there are tons of trees and flowers blooming! The Gardner Greenway also runs through the neighborhood’s pawsome Winwood Park. This quiet 3.23-acre park is lined with trees and has ample open grass where you and your pup can play or relax. There’s also a playground, drinking fountain and a covered picnic area.

Gardner Heights

Pupperific parks is what you and Fido will find in the Gardner Heights neighborhood! First stop, Brookside Park! This 2.23-acre community park has a peaceful feel to it with tons of big, shady trees and open grass area where you and your leashed pup can stretch your legs. The park also has a paved walking trail that connects with the 1.6-mile Gardner Greenway that wanders through the area. Just a few blocks away, scope out the four-acre Cornerstone Park, where you and your dog can make a few laps on the park’s looped walking path. Meadowbrook Park is another nearby furrific one-acre park, and this neighborhood is where you’ll find Westside Park!

Pumpkin Ridge

If you’re looking for a woofderful walking area, head to the Pumpkin Ridge neighborhood! This lovely residential area’s 11-acre Stone Creek Park is a puptacular place to take your leashed dog for a stroll. The park’s paved walking path extends the entire distance of the park and then meanders through the surrounding residential neighborhood. You and your four-legged friend will have a blast walking or jogging on the pathway! After your jaunt, head back to the park where there’s tons of open grass where you and your pup can relax and stretch, plus a picnic area with a barbecue grill and a playground.

Symphony Farms

Take a trip to Gardner’s west side and check out a truly furrific park in the Symphony Farms neighborhood! Celebration Park and Sports Complex is an 83-acre green space with a huge network of trails that make four large loops around beautiful open grass, as well as four ponds! You and your leashed dog will love the peaceful views of the sparkling waters as you stroll on the paved path. There’s also trees, shrubs and benches along the way, perfect for taking a moment to breathe in the fresh air! This pawsome community park also has a large playground, multiple covered picnic pavilions with barbecues and restrooms. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park, except on the baseball and softball fields.

North Gardner

You and your pooch will love visiting the North Gardner neighborhood! This area is home to the 3.5-acre Gardner Lake Park, a woofderful recreation area where you and your leashed dog will have a pawesome time exploring! Play in the grass, sniff around the mature trees or discover new sights and sounds along the shoreline – your pup’s tail will be wagging through it all! There’s also a boat dock which gives excellent access to the 125-acre lake, making this a pawpular spot for fishing, motorized boating, kayaking and canoeing. Pack a picnic and make use of Gardner Lake Park’s three covered picnic areas with barbecue grills!
