Bent Tree
Bent Tree in Far North Dallas is one of the area's most lucrative neighborhoods, centered around a sprawling golf course and characterized by stately homes lining immaculate streets.
After taking a stroll through this quaint neighborhood, your pup will be begging for some playtime at Wagging Tail Dog Park, one of the city's biggest off-leash areas at just shy of 7 acres. Throughout the day, the main stage will feature canine-centric programming, and pet parents can shop the best products and services for their furbabies from a large variety of vendors.

Animal shelter spotlight in Dallas
SPCA of Texas
The SPCA of Texas is the most comprehensive and longest-serving animal agency in North Texas. Since its founding in 1938, it has worked to provide every animal exceptional care and a loving home. In addition to helping animals find their forever homes through its two shelters and mobile adoption events, it offers affordable veterinary services through its full-service clinic and two mobile wellness vehicles.
The nonprofit also provides temporary support to pet parents who are experiencing financial hardship and are at risk of having to surrender their animals, including a pet food pantry and medical assistance. Moreover, it maintains a team of animal cruelty investigators who respond to thousands of reports of abuse, neglect, hoarding, animal fighting, and commercial breeding each year.
There are currently more than 800 animals in the nonprofit’s care. If you’re planning to welcome a new member to your family, you can “meet” the adoptable dogs, cats, and small mammals on the SPCA of Texas website or Instagram!
