If you come during the warmer months, there is water available. You’ll need to bring your own water during the winter, though. This park also offers plenty of seating for owners as well as shaded areas to relax under when it gets too hot. Another great feature of this park is that it’s well-lit at night. Waste bags are supplied here so you can clean up after your canine companion. Your pup is sure to have a blast here!

Northeast Topeka

This dog-friendly neighborhood is home to the Dog Day Afternoon. You and your pup will love this pet ranch and resort. If you need a place for your pooch while you are at that meeting or special event, Dog Day Afternoon is the place for your dog. Although they specialize in doggie daycare and boarding, they also offer grooming services as well as premium doggie food available for purchase. This resort spans across 5 acres of land which is completely fenced and gives your pup a lot of room to play. This is basically a big playground for your pup to explore with their new fur-iends! This facility also has toys and equipment for your pooch to play on. If you want peace of mind while you have to be away from your pup, Dog Day Afternoon is the choice for you and your pooch.

Southwest Topeka

If you and your pup are looking for a nice, accommodating place to stay, the Country Inn & Suite Topeka West is a great hotel that is dog-friendly. They charge $20 per pet and have a nice clean establishment. Your pooch is allowed everywhere in the hotel while on a leash except for the breakfast room and the pool area. The rooms are large and offer plenty of space for you and your pup to feel right at home. They also provide a lovely grassy area just outside the side door for your pup. There are plenty of benches along the way for your canine companion to rest. You will want to bring some water for when your pooch gets thirsty.

Manhattan

This dog-friendly neighborhood is located about 58 miles west of Topeka. You will want to check out Cico Dog Park for a fun-filled day. This dog park is a great adventure for your pooch. It is a fenced in park with a no-leash rule. Your pooch can explore all of the boundaries of this park without having to be on his leash! This park is nice and grassy, but when it rains, it gets a little muddy. If you plan to visit on a rainy day, be sure to bring some cleaning supplies to make sure Fido doesn’t get muddy pawprints in your car! This park also offers a few picnic tables and some trees for shade on hot days. Also, during the warmer months, there are human and doggie water fountains.
