In Barberry Park's original inception, there were several pieces of equipment installed including a playground, a splash pad, and a sandbox. Today, the property consists of grass which is partially fenced in, and there are no traces of the former play structures which one graced the land. The lawn provides the pawrfect spot for a picnic lunch, a stroll through the grass, or games of fetch, tug, or frisbee. It's a doggo's paradise, for sure! Since Barberry Park offers no on-site amenities for pooches, you'll need to pack a bag of park essentials before leaving home. Some of the items you should bring along include drinking water, clean up bags, snacks, and some toys, balls, or frisbees.
Barberry Park takes its name from an ornamental bush which originated in Africa. It was the custom at the founding of the park to name pawblic recreational areas after trees, plants, or shrubs.
