What could be a better way to spend the day than at a park with your furry friend in the city of Chicago, Illinois? The Daniel Hale Williams Park is a great place to enjoy some quality time together today!
You will find this park in the heart of the Douglas Community. If you are in the area, head over on foot to add to your fun, or use the ample parking street side adjacent to the land.
The first order of business will be to take your pup for a walk. You can begin by encircling the park on the connected sidewalks to add a bit more exercise to your day. Afterward, head onto park grounds to take a stroll on the many paved paths that run throughout the almost 9 acres of ground. Fido will love the landscaping where they can roll in the grass and just be a dog! Benches are located underneath the shade of the many mature trees here as a place to relax and get ready for the next lap around the park!
Make sure to check out the other amenities here, including an athletic field for sports enthusiasts, a playground to make any child happy, and a water play area to cool anybody on a hot summer day. Tennis and basketball courts round out the fun community members have here. Restrooms are located inside the fieldhouse, but seasonal drinking fountains are outdoors for your convenience. Offer your pawtastic pup plenty to drink during your visit and be sure to clean up after them with your own clean up bags. Leashes are part of the requirements of allowing furry friends to accompany you here.
Give you and your puptastic buddy a fun outing each day by heading to the lovely neighborhood of Douglas and visiting Daniel Hale Williams Park.
