If you are looking for a great neighborhood park to take Fido for a walk, check out the lovely Edgebrook Park. If you have a few minutes or all day, this park will offer you plenty of opportunities for a great time together with your pawtastic friend.
Located in the Forest Glen Community of the city, Edgebrook Park can be accessed by parking along the tree-lined streets that run along each side. This is a triangle-shaped park, situated in between three roads for easy connection to any area of the park.
Here you will find a fieldhouse, sports fields and a gymnasium where the local residents will find plenty of programs for kids and adults throughout the year. There are also large sections of green space where you can take a leisurely stroll in the grass or along the paved paths. Fido will enjoy a good roll in the grass and a romp on an extended leash. Take a blanket to spread out in the grass to relax the day away. Don’t be surprised if your furever friend catches a bit of shuteye in the warm, summer sunshine.
You might be lucky to see a ball game in action, or you can just sit and watch the children play on the playground. This is the perfect place for an elderly pup as the ground is level and the paths are short enough, so they can feel a sense of accomplishment for finishing their ‘hike!’ The entire park is wheelchair accessible as well.
Restrooms and drinking fountains are provided here, as well as trash receptacles. Be sure to make use of these when cleaning up after your pawtastic pup with your own clean up bags to keep this area pristine and pup-friendly.
Head out to Edgebrook Park for a great day with your furry friend by your side!
