Although on the northern side, Jesse White Park is still towards the center of the city, which makes it a valuable resource for those who live or work in this area. This park is small, but provides lush grasslands and features to enjoy while there with your pup.
The park is also known as Park No. 560, and consisst of a grassy area to play in, a community center, and short nature walk with flowers to enjoy. Parking is on the road along the east, west, and north sides of the park. The grassy section is on the northeast section of the park, where half of it is fenced-in, and the other half is open. The fenced-in portion does have openings, and although it's a good place to play with Fido, you should always keep your pup leashed in the park.
There are a couple of trees that offer shade and places to sit, with lots of space to run around, play fetch, or just get a decent walk around the perimeter. Walking along the path next to the road will bring you to the backside of the community center, where there are water fountains and benches outside, but no restrooms, or doggy bags, so be sure you bring your own for easy clean up. Heading to the front of the center will provide you and Fido with a short .2-mile walk among nature wildflowers and shrubs that are on the outside of the community center, an area that pups are allowed to walk in.
This cozy and personal park still offers just what you and Fido need to get out and get some exercise. Not only that, you'll get the extra views of gorgeous flowers and unique views of uptown life in the city.
