Kedvale Park has lots of amenities that will captivate you and your furbaby for hours on end, and loacted within the Humboldt Park Community in Chicago. Here, you will find enough for everyone to do, including hanging out with your tail-wagger.
The almost one-and-a-half-acre park features a soft surface playground with slides, swings, sandboxes, and a general child playing area. The perimeter of the park has some trees and patches of grass to give the place a natural feel in an otherwise concrete jungle. The park also features a brick field house with a game room and restrooms. Although this brick building is out of bounds to your pooch, there is plenty of outdoor space with fun activities going on most of the time, so you may not even notice the building.
When in the park, just make sure that you always keep your pooch on a leash no longer than 10 feet. Although you can get water at the park, do bring a bowl for your pup's convenience, and a few snacks for you and your pooch. Having clean up bags on hand is also pawrific so that you can do your part to ensure this park stays clean and pup-friendly!
The park usually gets quite busy between 2 pm and 7 pm, with peak traffic usually around 4 pm. During these hours, you can certainly find plenty to capture you and your dog’s attention, including activities on the turf soccer field, basketball court, and playful activity around a water spray feature. If you choose the quieter hours of the day, especially early morning hours, you will have most of the park to yourself which means that you will have more freedom to move around and play with your pooch.
