Are you short on time, but have a pup that still needs some attention? Then why not take them out for a bit of fresh air at the Ken-Well Park in the city of Chicago, Illinois? You don’t need to spend all day to let Fido have a bit of fun!
You will find the park situated in the Hermosa Neighborhood of the city. Parking is conveniently located on the residential streets which encircle the park. Grab a spot and your pup and get going!
Ken-Well Park offers three acres of ground where you can enjoy some outdoor space and quiet time. You can walk on the paths through the grounds or take a longer stroll around the perimeter of the park on the city sidewalks. Beautiful wrought iron fencing encloses the park for a scenic touch to the already green landscape. Lots of grass allow your pawtastic pup to go ‘off-road’ for some additional fun romping and rolling up a storm, and an abundance of shade trees will keep them cool while doing so! Be sure to take a walk by the community garden here to see what the neighborhood residents are growing for their dinner tables. Benches are handy to sit and rest or to watch the other park visitor’s having fun.
Other features of the park include a small fieldhouse where neighborhood programming is held throughout the year, sports fields and courts, and a kiddie playground with a cooling seasonal spray feature. Restrooms are provided, as well as warm-weather drinking fountains. It is important to keep your furry friend on leash throughout your visit, and cleaning up after them is a necessary courtesy so be sure to bring bags to do so.
Take some time to offer your puptastic friend a few minutes of exercise and fresh air at Ken-Well Park.
