The southern half of the park is bordered by dense rows of residential homes, and a retail and industrial area found near the northern half, which can only be noted slightly through the dense trees inside the park. After parking on a side parking area on the west side, you and Fido will enter an open recreational field, where a paved path surrounds four baseball diamonds. You two can enjoy a leisurely walk along the half shaded path while enjoying teams playing on the diamond, or take Fido to the open fields yourself as long as no teams are playing to run around and play yourselves.
A 5-foot wide paved walkway near the baseball fields offers benches along the way, and showcases a playground, a basketball court, a closed off pool, and picnic area under the trees. There is additional open space to play with your pup, just remember to clean up after them and keep them on a leash at all times. After getting some nice exercise, you can get some water at the water fountains around the playground, or sit under the shade and enjoy the day.
The park's most popular time is after school and on the weekends, where you and Fido can find other pups to play with. For a shy pup, less popular times are during the school day when you can enjoy this area without the crowds. For a pawrific time with your doggo, head on out to Oakdale Park!
