Parking is along the road on the southern and western sides of the park, which lead to the narrow paths that cover the area. To get to the dog park, follow the southeastern concrete path until you reach the south-east corner of the park, where a fenced-in area will await you and Fido. At the dog park, you and Fido will find a double-gated entrance for extra safety that leads to an area where pups of any size can play off-leash on a concrete terrain, and elevated dirt and grassy areas.
Special amenities of the dog park include water fountains for humans and dogs, clean-up stations, shaded sitting areas, and sunny play area, and hose that attaches to a kiddie pool in the summer to help cool off your pup. This small, but enjoyable dog park can get pretty busy though during the day, so exploring the bigger park of Wicker Park to get some one-on-one time with your pooch isn't out of the question.
Leash up Fido before exploring Wicker Park and you can explore amenities such as restrooms, picnic areas, shaded sitting sections, barbeque facilities, open space, and a baseball diamond. The trails that make up the park even expand over a mile, giving you and fido plenty of space to walk around.
Whether you want to run around freely in the off-leash area, or take a nice stroll in the larger section of Wicker Park, you and Fido will be sure to feel the love and dog-friendly atmosphere that this area boasts.
