Hey there, fellow pet parent! I’m thrilled to be a temporary care-taker for your fur baby. As a pet parent, I understand how much care, love, and patience is needed to ensure the highest quality is given and well received by the pet. As a lover of all animals, dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I currently have a 6 year-old mix named Louie and he is my world. Louie has some special needs when it comes to feeding and medication, but he doesn’t let that slow him down!

Hello, my name is Cassandra! I am a proud animal mommy of a border collie, English Bulldog, cat and Box turtle. They are my world and get the best! I grew up around Rottweilers so learning how to train and read signs from a dog was a must in my family. I also understand the different breeds and their specific needs, whether it is a rambunctious dog like my border collie or a much more mellow dog like my bulldog. When I was about 12 I started my own neighborhood training and dog walking business. I meet all kinds of breeds, from tiny daschungs to Great Danes! They all came with their own personalities and ways of learning. I enjoyed every minute of it! I look forward to meeting all of you sweet fur babies!

Hi! I'm Ellen, and I'm absolutely LOVE dogs! I'm very experienced in dog walking and dog sitting. Also, I had a Bichon for 12 years. I've walked and watched dogs of all ages and sizes. I'm a true dog lover, and I will treat your dog as if they were a part of my own family.
I have a 4 years old mini aussie that I adopted 2 years ago, she is very energetic and loves to go on walks. She had some behavioral issues when I first got her, so I have a lot of experience with dogs that are difficult. A few summers ago I walked and trained dogs how to walk on a leash in my hometown. I just found out about wag, but I have been doing this for awhile! I love dogs, and I love being outdoors, I'm a college student at KSU looking to make some money before going back to school. Please contact me with any questions, I look forward to meeting your pups!
Hello! I’m Alex Ralston, and I am a K-State student working on completing my bachelor’s degree in wildlife and conservation biology. I have lived around animals my entire life, with the amount of pets in my family actually outnumbering siblings. While I’m passionate about all animals, I consistently find that dogs are among the most personable and amazing ones around! I have been walking dogs for years, and have even worked with the owner and operator of Scholarly Strays, whose mission focuses on building healthy relationships between dogs and humans. As such, I have great training and experience in providing dogs and owners with proper dog-walking services. I look forward to connecting with both you and your canine friend in the near future!

Also a German Shepard/ husky mix named Ava and she is 3. I’m excited and looking forward to meeting your furry friend!

Hi! I've grown up with several breeds of dogs and have previous experience sitting, showing and walking dogs. I recently owned Alaskan Malamutes, but am familiar with most breeds and am willing to meet your best friend! I also have experience with special needs dogs and can work to satisfy your pooch's needs!
Hi! My name is Betsy, I grew up with a labrador retriever and a dachshund. They were my best pals for as long as I can remember. I have always loved dogs and started dog sitting when I was 12 years old! I am CPR certified and have spent time learning about socializing dogs at the local shelter. I cannot wait to walk your dog!
My name is Madeline Bunch, I hope to make connections with the dogs I walk as well as their owner to assure that I am doing all I can to let the pups I walk have the best experience. I am currently in the Architectural Engineering Technology program at Greenville Technical College on a transfer track to Clemson School of Architecture. I hope to be transferring to Clemson next fall to continue my studies there. I currently have two cats but I am saving up in order to get a dog as soon as possible. I have plenty of dog walking/sitting experience; besides having a dog in the house my entire childhood, I have walked dogs and taken care of them while the owners were out of town since I was 14. I would love to walk your dog and be able to make a new friendship!
The size of Manhattan, Kansas may not compare to its big-city counterpart, but the “Little Apple” certainly has a lot for pets and their owners to enjoy. The rich history and scenic views accessible in this college town make it a fantastic place to live, especially if you want numerous options for dog-friendly attractions.
If you’re looking for a dog park in the area, don’t miss Fairmont Dog Park. Open from 6 am to 11 pm seven days a week, this off-leash dog park offers a large space for Fido to enjoy. Or, try the Cico Dog Park, which offers a fenced-in area for off-leash play and a water fountain.
There’s also the City Park, a 45-acre space that was established in 1857. Hosting several arts and culture events throughout the year, this park also features a rose garden, playground, picnic tables, and a one-mile walking trail for your on-leash pooch to explore.
The Manhattan area is also home to several walking and hiking trails. For an easy walk, try the Blue River Outlet Trail, a 1.5-mile loop that offers access to the Blue River. For something more challenging, especially if you're looking for a exhausting workout for Fido, try one of the 5-mile trails at Carnahan State Park. No matter your interest or skill level, there’s bound to be something for you and your furry companion to enjoy in Manhattan, Kansas.
This pooch-friendly neighborhood is home to the Cico Dog Park. This dog park offers great adventures for you and your pal! Your canine companion is welcome to explore all the boundaries of this fenced-in, off-leash park. The terrain is nice and grassy, but when it rains, it gets a little muddy, so you’ll need to bring some supplies to clean them up. This park also offers a few picnic tables and some trees for shade on hot days. During the warmer months, the park provides water fountains for both dogs and people! In the winter, though, you’ll need to bring your own water.
You’ll find the Fairmont Dog Park in this neighborhood. This is a great place to bond with your canine companion. This dog park is an off-leash park, so your pup can run and romp to his heart’s content. There are a lot of muddy areas, especially when it rains, so bring something to wash your pooch off with. If you have a smaller breed, there’s a separate section for small dogs under 10 pounds, so you don’t have to worry about your petite pal ruffhousing with the big boys. Grab some water and doggie waste bags and prepare to have a pawesome time at this park!
The city center of Manhattan is home to none other than City Park, which is a great place to take your four-legged friend. You and your leashed canine companion are welcome to explore the mile-long walking trail, which offers great views of nature. You’ll need to bring your own water and doggie waste bags, though. Afterward, treat your pal to a slice of pizza at AJ’s Pizza. You’re welcome to share a meal together at the outdoor tables, and Fido even has a fresh bowl of water waiting on him! Sparrow Specialty Coffee, Porter’s, and the Bluestem Bistro are other Fido-friendly eateries in the area.
Want to enjoy some classic fried fare with Fido? This it the neighborhood to be in if you’re craving a Philly cheesesteak, burger, chicken strips, or anything with a hearty serving of meat. Your pal is probably drooling just thinking about it! Satisfy your craving and head to Vista Drive-In, a classic burger joint that’s been in business since 1964. They’re more than happy to serve you and your hungry hound a Vistaburger at the outdoor tables. This one-of-a-kind eatery is pawpular with Kansas University students, so your canine companion might make a new friend or two here!
Want to catch the big game while in Manhattan? Leash up Fido and head on over to Powercat Sports Grill! The menu offers a large selection of classic American fare as well as craft beers, so you and your pal are sure to find something you like. If you’re looking for something a little different, try the Powercat Burger, which is a classic burger served on a brioche bun! There are also 8 dog-friendly outdoor tables, so if you go on a quiet night, you’re sure to snag a table. Don’t forget to bring Fido’s water bowl, though.
