North Junction City
Although North Junction City is quite a busy part of town, there are still several pockets of greenery here that provide a tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city life. North Park is one of the largest, and offers up picturesque views of your surroundings, making this pawfect for an idyllic stroll with Fido. There are several different sports fields here, as well as a playground, a concession stand and a paved path. Not too far away is Pawnee Park, where you will find a couple of sports facilities along with open grassy lawns for your pooch to sniff around in.

South Junction City
South Junction City is the pawfect place to spend some time with your pooch, because there is plenty to keep the two of you busy here. One of the highlights of this neighborhood is Rimrock Park. This is a passive park, filled with grassy meadows, mature woodland and Homers Lake. There is a paved hiking trail that winds its way through the park, giving you and Fido 1.42 miles to explore. Not too far away from here is Playground Park, which is not only home to the best playground equipment in the city, but also to sports facilities, a picnic area and the largest swimming pool in Junction City.

Forsyth
The neighborhood of Forsyth in Fort Riley is right next to Junction City, and offers up some pawtastic dog walks. This is where the Colyer Forsyth Community Center is located, which not only has several indoor amenities, but also plenty of outdoor ones too, including sports facilities, a community garden, playgrounds, picnic areas and a paved walking trail. The trail takes you through all of the park's best features, giving you and Fido plenty to look at. If your pooch would prefer to run and play off the lead, the Community Center is also where you will find the Corvias' Bark Park. This large, fenced-off dog park boasts separate areas for smaller and larger dogs, making it easy for Fido to socialize.

Milford
The small town of Milford is directly adjacent to Junction City, and boasts a couple of green areas that your pooch will love. The most popular is the Milford State Park, which stretches out for 1084 acres. The park is packed with so much natural beauty, and also boasts several fishing spots and seven campgrounds. Dogs are welcome to use the campgrounds too, but need to be kept on a lead at all times. Also in Milford is the Rolling Hills Public Use Area, where you will find 33,000 acres of rolling hills and grassy meadows to explore. This is the pawfect spot for outdoor activities, from swimming and fishing to hiking and hunting, with multiple trails to follow.

Aggieville
The neighborhood of Aggieville in Manhattan is about a ten minute drive from Junction City, and this is always a fun part of town to explore with a pooch by your side. You will no doubt spend quite a bit of time at the 45 acre Manhattan City Park, which, having been established in 1857, has quite a bit of history behind it. The park is home to an aquatic center, a Splash Park, sports facilities, a playground, picnic areas, a rose garden, and a one mile trail for you and Fido to follow. If you and your pooch feel tired out and need somewhere nearby to spend the night, Four Points by Sheraton is a dog-friendly hotel in the neighborhood, allowing up to two pets to stay in each guest room.
