Are you and your canine kid looking for a new park to hang out in with plenty of space to play and lots of furiendly people? The Harrowgate Park on Kensington Avenue in the town of Harrowgate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the furfect place to enjoy with your fur baby on any day of the week.
This five-acre park is in the middle of Philly, and has tons of space to run around and play fetch or toss a frisbee. Your pooch must stay on a leash no longer than six feet long while in the park. There are plenty of mature oak, and fir trees for shade and the benches are strategically placed for shade and to enjoy the view of the kids playing.
There is a walking path that goes around the outside of the park and cuts through the middle, giving you a complete workout while you are there with your pupster. Your doggo must have all of the shots required by law and should be licensed by the City of Philadelphia with a rabies tag, ID, and collar while visiting. It is best if you make sure your pooch is treated for fleas and ticks during the warmer months as well. In addition, you should bring your own cleanup bags because the park does not provide them.
The Harrowgate Park has some furrific playground equipment for the two-legged kids if you have any, but try to keep your dog off the playground to avoid accidents. There is no bathroom here, but there are water fountains to get drinking water from, and there are plenty of trash bins to keep the park clean. You and your pup are sure to enjoy this lovely park and will want to come back again and again.
