The ultimate outdoor adventure for your pup would have to be spending some time off leash – anywhere! If you have some time and are looking for a place to let Fido run footloose and fancy free, then head over to the Market Street Dog Run in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Located adjacent to Pier 3, this pup run is easily accessed as there is a parking lot adjacent. Ample places to leave your car make this a great location to get in and get out, no matter how much time you have to spend here.
The dog run is ideal for any pup who needs to stretch his legs without being burdened by a leash holding him back. This long narrow area is completely fenced in for your pawtastic pup’s safety. There is a separate small dog run where the tiny tots and elders get to play and have fun without worrying about being run over by those larger, enthusiastic pups on the other side of the fence! The areas are paved with a stand of mature trees running down the middle of it. This offers much needed shade in the summer months for all. Amazing views of the Delaware River adjacent make this a scenic place for your furry friend to enjoy, and a breeze coming off the water is an added bonus.
There are no clean up stations here at the park, so be sure to bring your own mutt mitts to keep this park perfect for other pet owners. You will have to bring your own water and bowl as well, and there are no restrooms, so plan accordingly.
Let your pup enjoy some free time during your busy day and take a few minutes to watch them play at the Market Street Dog Run.
