Inside the park, you'll be able to park at two different locations, a lot along the northwest corner of the park that connects to two trails, and a middle parking area that's next to the Valley Green Inn right along Wissahickon Creek. At the parking area, you can find amenities such as water fountains, a playground, clean-up stations for Fido, and trash bins to use before heading out. The parking lot connects to nearly 50 miles of trails that are made up from multiple paths like Yellow Trail, White Trail, Orange Trail, and Forbidden Drive Trail.
The trails stick close the creek as it passes down the Wissahickon Valley and Cresheim Valley, providing elevated views of the river and thick landscape that makes up the area. Along the creek are small banks and fishing piers for park goers to enjoy fishing for trout and other fish. There are also benches and picnic tables throughout the park, with other features like a scenic bridge, baseball fields in the south part of the park, rock statues, and older historical buildings.
The amount to explore in the park is endless and will provide you and Fido hours of enjoyment no matter what time of the day or year you go, especially thanks to the large dog-friendly space and multiple trail systems in the area.
