Introduction

The Bodacion is a cross between a Dalmatian and a Border Collie. However, you may also class a Bearded Collie and Dalmatian cross as a Bodacion - but with long fur. Whether you are an experienced pet owner or a novice, a family or individual, you will find that this breed ties in beautifully with your home life and adores being part of your family. They want to do what you do, go where you are, and play plenty of fun games that require them to exert energy and use their mind. If you are having trouble catering to these needs and keeping this boisterous breed out of trouble, then why not consider these activities below?

Activity description
Bodacions have exceptionally inquisitive minds and love nothing more than to work on challenging puzzles and get a treat for their efforts. That's why DIY food puzzles are so convenient. You can leave your Bodacion to play on their own, while also knowing you are providing them with all the mental stimulation they require. What's more, you get to flex your creative muscles while creating food puzzles out of plastic bottles, balloons, and rope with the inclusion of food and treats. If you require an all-weather activity to keep your pup out of trouble, creating fun puzzles could be the answer.
Step
1
Food shaker
In the wild, dogs have to work hard for their food, and doing so keeps them in shape. Let your pup get back to their roots by working hard for their food. Peel the label off a plastic soda bottle, wash it out, then add kibble. Throw the lid away. They then have to roll it around the floor waiting for the kibble to work its way free.
Step
2
Ice ball
On a hot summer's day, it can be a challenge to provide your pup with the stimulation they require while making sure they don't overheat! An ice ball could be the answer. Fill a balloon with water and add treats. Freeze it overnight then peel the balloon rubber off. They can then roll it around your lawn, staying hydrated and occasionally managing to work a treat free from its ice prison!
Step
3
Rope treat
This beautiful Collie Dalmatian cross loves to chew. It's one of their favorite pastimes if you leave them to their own devices. If you want to move their attention from your favorite pair of shoes to a toy, then do so with a rope and sweet potato. Dry out sweet potato in your oven then thread the tough, dried pieces onto a plaited cable. They will love ripping and tearing at it instead of your prized possessions!

Activity description
On a hot summer's day, it's not all that easy to find fun games for your dogs and the entire family to enjoy. But, what you will find is that fun in the water is a standout winner. No matter where you go, your Bodacion is bound to enjoy splashing about and fetching their favorite toy. What's more, this hot weather activity doesn't cost a dime, isn't hard to do, and will only take up an hour or so of your time. It's also bound to deplete your pup's energy resources more than anything else you do that day. What are you waiting for? Take a dip!
Step
1
Choose an activity
The main benefit of fun in the water is that it's broad by definition. You can pay to go to a dedicated water park for dogs, a local free watering hole, or use your paddling pool at home. The sky's the limit. Find out what is going to be the most accessible and convenient for your family.
Step
2
Play
When you get to the water, you will enjoy being able to throw a toy into it and have your dog chase it. Your Bodacion also has a lot of natural oils in their fur which means they dry far quicker than other dogs. Make sure you have a towel on hand to help the process though! After an hour of swimming and splashing about, they will be smiling from ear to ear!

Activity description
Bodacions are an exceptionally photogenic breed, which is why it makes perfect sense to create calendars for family and friends. When it's raining outside and you've exhausted all activity options, pull out the dress-up box, dust off the camera, and get snapping! All you need to create beautiful shots are a few treats to capture their attention, costumes, a tripod, and a camera. You can then create calendars that save you the hassle of hectic malls at Christmas time. While creating a calendar can be expensive if you were to buy everything you need at once, it's entirely affordable if you already own these items. Get snapping!
Step
1
Plan
Calendars have 12 months, a front cover, and a back cover. Therefore, you need to plan at least 12-14 pictures of your pup to grace the pages. Think of different outfits to suit various times of the year. For example, place a Christmas hat on their head for December, and suit them up in Fall-themed costumes for October or November.
Step
2
Set the scene
For each photo, you will need to dress your Bodacion up and make sure the backdrop suits. This bit can be time-consuming so let your dog entertain themselves with chew toys and other activities while you do this part on your own.
Step
3
Snap
It's action time! Spend no more than 20 minutes on each photo, so your pup doesn't grow bored. A trick to get them to look up at the camera is to dangle their favorite toy from it or hold a treat above the lens. You can then get that perfect photo of them looking attentive and well-behaved.

Biking

Bodacions love to be active, and if you enjoy getting out in nature, then biking with your pup could be an excellent activity option. Bodacions are quick learners and quite obedient, so you shouldn't have much trouble getting them to run by your side. It also allows you both to get much-needed exercise beyond your own property.

Fetch

Does your dog have a favorite toy they carry around? Teach them to play fetch! Throw the toy, then use your trigger word 'fetch' to get them to pick it up. You can then go through the steps of training them to bring it back with positive reinforcement and treats. Given the Collie parentage, this process will be far easier than with other breeds.

Conclusion

Both Border Collies and Dalmatians are beautiful dogs, so imagine your delight at bringing home a mix of them both? Bodacions are lovely dogs, warming your heart at every opportunity. They respond well to pawsitive reinforcement, love to spend time with the family, and also enjoy running around and being silly. Whether you're an experienced owner or this is your first pet, you will have a true friend in a Bodacion.
