Introduction

Combining the bouncy personality of the Boxer with the feisty disposition of the Chihuahua, the Boxachi is a medium-sized hybrid dog that is good-natured, attention-seeking and affectionate. While there is not much information about this designer dog since it is a relatively new breed, you can expect Boxachis to adopt some of their parent breeds’ distinct qualities. In general, this dog will come out as a friendly, loyal and loving pooch but with a hint of sassiness. Therefore, Boxachis will likely thrive with owners who can give them the right amount of exercise, love and attention that they crave and deserve.

Being a clingy and affectionate breed, your Boxachi might be content to just follow you around at home. However, your dog still needs to have a safe spot to rest, play and stay in, especially when you have to go and leave for work or when you have to head out. Instead of just leaving your dog in the living room or bedroom, why not create a personal area for your four-legged friend? Having their own private space helps your dog become more at ease in your home and allows them to have a place to retreat in. By dishing out a couple of dollars, you can build a “doggy zone” in your home.

Step
1
Designate a space
In order to build a doggy space for your best friend, you need to designate an area in your house that you will transform into a canine zone. This space does not necessarily have to be big but it should not be too small either. Since Boxachis are medium-sized, you only need a moderately-sized area; a small storage room should suffice.
Step
2
Fill the space with doggy essentials
Once you have chosen an area, it is time to transform it into your dog’s personal room. Be sure that you have the essentials for your dog in the room, including a dog bed, food and water bowl, a wee wee pad or potty and your dog’s favorite toys. Place the bowl away from the bed to avoid any mess or spillage. Also, assign a corner for your dog’s “toilet” area. Feel free to add some dog-themed décor if you wish.

Activity description

Eating out is a lovely experience that is best enjoyed with a companion. However, the joys of dining out should not be limited to just humans; dogs can make for great dining buddies, too! Luckily, more and more establishments, from cafés and coffee houses to big-time restaurants and diners. This is because some of these places have outdoor seating. So, the next time that you plan on going out for a meal, take your pooch with you. Dining out is a great way for you and your dog to eat, bond and relax. Just be sure to know the rules in place and to keep your dog well-behaved at all times.

Step
1
Find a dog-friendly establishment
Nowadays, with the age of technology, it is getting easier and easier to look for information. A quick online search or a smartphone application can point you in the right direction if you are looking for a dog-friendly dining establishment. Websites such as Dog Friendly or apps like Yelp can provide you with information about restaurants where you can bring your dogs.
Step
2
Savor a meal together
Once you find a dog-friendly place where you can have a meal with your pooch, call ahead to see if reservations are necessary. Ideally, you would want your dog to be relieved of their toilet needs before you head out. But, just in case, pack some waste bags to clean up if they decide to go again. Also, keep your dog on a leash. While they might be dog-friendly, some restaurants require customers to keep their canine buddies leashed. Make sure you know and follow the rules set by the establishment. Once there, order a meal for yourself and bring some treats so both you and your dog can enjoy dining out.
