Introduction

One part English Bulldog and one part Chinese Shar-Pei, the Bull-Pei is a medium-sized hybrid dog with a short coat, thick neck and floppy ears. This breed is known for being devoted, fun-loving and affectionate. They can also be playful (and even stubborn) and protective at times, especially with members of their family. The Bull-Pei does not require a lot of care because they only need moderate exercise and minimal grooming. They also do well in condo or apartment settings. If you are looking for a low-maintenance breed that enjoys companionship, the Bull-Pei may be the perfect pet choice.

Activity description

As a resident, you probably feel like you already know your neighborhood well enough. However, you might be surprised that there are some parts that you have yet to see and discover in your town. Why not go exploring the unfamiliar parts of your neighborhood with your dog? Instead of going on your usual route, try and change things up and take a different path. Aside from discovering new places, walking around your neighborhood with your dog means that they also get their exercise requirements for the day. Another good thing about this activity is that it is easy to do and completely free of charge.

Step
1
Pack some essentials
If you plan to spend a good amount of time exploring the neighborhood, you should pack some stuff for your dog. Aside from the leash, you should also bring some food and water for your pooch. Bring a collapsible bowl as well in case your dog gets hungry or thirsty during your walk. Prepare some waste bags to clean up after your dog.
Step
2
Discover new places
When you are all good to go, take your dog out for a walk around your neighborhood. Instead of taking your usual routes, go on the opposite direction. Head downtown or uptown, depending on where you feel like going. You might even find a new favorite spot or place to hang out with your pooch.

Activity description

The outdoors present so many opportunities for leisure and recreation. Kayaking is one of the most fun and exciting outdoor activities that you can do on, particularly on a clear day out. It can become an even more enjoyable activity with the right company. Bring your four-legged best friend with you for a cruise along your local lake. This activity is not only a good workout for your arms and core, it can also be a great bonding moment between you and your dog. What’s more, Bull-Peis are generally well-behaved and can be easily trained to stay calm during your kayak ride.

Step
1
Get used to the kayak
The first thing you have to do if you want to go kayaking with your dog is to get them familiar with the kayak itself. Start by placing the kayak inside your home and allow your dog to get used to it. You can put your dog’s food or favorite treat on top of the kayak to motivate them to get on it. Do this consistently for a few days or weeks until your dog can jump in and out of the kayak without you forcing them.
Step
2
Go on the kayak ride
As soon as you feel like your dog is ready for the real deal, head down to your local lake with all the gear that you need. Equip your dog with a flotation device in case they fall off the water. Next, get your dog on the kayak and slowly push the kayak into the water. Observe how your dog reacts once the kayak is in the water and reassure them with your voice if necessary. Then, ride the kayak and start paddling and enjoying the ride.

Activity description

Whether you are a wine enthusiast or you simply like to sample different drinks, then visiting a winery or vineyard may be a good activity for you to try. If you are a dog-loving wine connoisseur, you do not even have to worry about having to leave your four-legged friend at home. This is because there are so many dog-friendly wineries and vineyards found all over the country. In these places, you get to taste some of the best-tasting wine while also allowing your dog to enjoy a new environment. Just make sure your dogs don’t get a sip as grapes and alcohol are harmful to them.

Step
1
Find a dog-friendly winery near you
Dog-friendly wineries and vineyards can be found in just about any city in the United States. You can do an online search for a local one or somewhere near your area that is within driving distance. You can also check out reviews about these places to see what others have to say about the selections.
Step
2
Enjoy the wine offerings
When you find a winery to visit, call them to become informed about their operating hours as well as their rules regarding the bringing of dogs. On the day of your visit, head down to the winery. Try out the different wines that they have to offer. To make sure your dog isn’t feeling left out, bring a bowl of water and some treats.

Local Dog Park

The dog park is a good place for your Bull-Pei to exercise and mingle with other dogs. A visit to your local park will be helpful in getting your dog socialized and physically stimulated.

Bath Time

Even though Bull-Peis are low maintenance, they still have to be bathed and groomed on a regular basis. Give your dog a bath to keep them fresh and healthy.

Conclusion

Dogs bring additional joy and love to any person’s life. However, day-to-day activities sometimes hinder people from getting a dog because of the responsibilities that come with it. Because they are low-maintenance, the Bull-Pei is an excellent choice for those who live a busy lifestyle but would like to come home to a lovely friend and companion.
