Activity description

Taking your clean dog out for a ride around town has a dual purpose. First, it is a fun adventure for your pup to get to ride around the neighborhood, see the sites and smell the smells. Second, it is a great way to dry a dog after a bath! Roll down your dog's window and let them stick their head out, just make sure that they can't get anything more than their nose out the window (you don't want them attempting to jump out!). Car rides are a fun activity, serve a purpose and will keep your dog clean.

Step
1
Destination decision
Pick a destination for your trip with your dog. You do not have to go far, a quick trip to the pet store or just around the block is fine! Plan to go somewhere that is scenic from the road especially as you most likely won't be getting out of the car with that clean dog!
Step
2
Drive anywhere!
Get your dog settled safely in the car and hit the road. Make sure your dog is comfortable and that the ride doesn't cause them stress (some dogs are not a fan of car rides and if that is the case, this activity should be skipped). Talk to your dog as you drive around - they are your backseat companion!
Step
3
Home again
Once you feel like you are done driving or your dog has simply fallen asleep in the back and is no longer truly involved in the car ride, head home. Once home, your dog will need a pee break so go to a grassy area, let them stretch and do what needs to be done! Then, head inside for a nice cuddle session.

Activity description

While you may have just given your dog a bath, you should also consider other ways to clean your dog. A bath is a great start but let's get that pooch extra squeaky clean! Also, once your dog is clean, it is a good idea to clean them a little bit every day to prevent them from getting dirty in the first place. Having a hygiene schedule for your dog is a must to keep them healthy, keep your home clean and keep them looking their very best.  If you aren't quite up for the job, get your dog to a groomer on a regular basis who can help you achieve your dog cleanliness goals.

Step
1
Brush your pup
After a bath, be sure to give your pooch a good brush. There are many dog brushes that will grab any loose hairs and pull them out gently. You will be shocked at how much hair comes off your dog even after they have just been cleaned! Brushing your dog is also a great way to keep your house clean and you will trap and discard the hair before it ends up on the floor.
Step
2
Mani and pedi
Trim your dog's nails after giving them a bath. Cutting a dog's nails does take skill and practice so be sure that you are confident in cutting them before you attempt this. Black colored nails can be tricky to cut as you cannot see where the 'quick' ends. However, if you are able to cut your dog's nails, it is a great way to keep their paws healthy without spending a lot of money.
Step
3
Shiny Teeth
Brush your dog's teeth with a dog safe toothpaste and toothbrush. This is something many people overlook but it is so necessary. Dogs who have bad oral care can lose their teeth in old age just like humans! So get that peanut butter flavored toothpaste and brush away!

Activity description

While you may think that there is just one straightforward way to run inside (back and forth and back and forth), you are wrong. There are many ways for your dog to run inside and get out a lot of energy without getting messy. Various games will require your pup to act in distinctive ways and therefore run and play differently. By switching up the activities you are doing with your dog, they will have to use a new part of their brain as well as their body. Try playing each of these for a few minutes each, then switch the game to keep your dog excited and on their toes!

Step
1
The chase is on
Start off by having your dog chase you around the house. This is a basic way to get your dog moving and also get them excited to play with you. Of course, since you are inside, your dog should stay pretty clean! Simply run around a few times and encourage your dog to do the same.
Step
2
Fetch time
Switch from playing chase to playing fetch. Grab your dog's favorite toy or ball and throw it. Have your dog run and retrieve the ball and then throw it again. The idea is to keep your dog moving and active. Since you are playing inside, you can only throw the ball so far so you will want to switch up the game shortly to…..
Step
3
Stair challenge
If you have stairs in your apartment or house, this is the last exercise in our doggy run triathlon. Run up the stairs and have your pup follow you. Then, you guessed it, run back down! Up and down over and over until you and your pup can't run anymore. You both are sure to be tired and also, still clean!

It can definitely be hard to keep a dog clean when all they want to do is run and play. These activities are a sure fire way to keep your dog clean and happy for several days after their baths. It is also guaranteed that your dog will eventually get dirty but don't fret! You can easily clean that pup again. However, while they are clean, choose one of these dirt free endeavors to keep you and your dog busy.
