The Enganese is a combination of the English Toy Spaniel and Havanese dog breeds. This pooch makes a "pawtastic" contribution to any family, with their well mannered and bouncy personality.
The English Toy Spaniel can be both playful and attentive, making for a rambunctious companion as well as a quiet and calm lap dog. They enjoy games in the yard or home along with short walks as they don't have extensive exercise needs. The Havanese, like the Toy Spaniel, is a member of the toy group, and they too can have their exercise needs met with a short walk or game. Havaneses are curious, affectionate, and love to be the center of attention. As a result, the Enganese also enjoys attention coupled with at least 30 minutes of activities each day that works them mentally and physically, though they don't need a strenuous workout.
Speed Walking
As the Enganese doesn’t require extensive exercise sessions, short power or speed walks are a “pawfect” activity to get their legs and hearts pumping. Speed walks are simple to do and can easily replace traditional walks or be combined with them.Â
For a speed walk, set aside approximately ten minutes of time. Like with a normal walk, prepare your pup's leash. Unlike a standard walk, speed walks don’t allow for breaks, so you will only need a waste bag for either before or after the walk. Bring along treats as well if you're just beginning to train your pup how to power walk. You'll need to be able to walk at a quickened pace for ten minutes, so if this is something you need to prepare for, try practicing a power walk alone before taking your Enganese out!Â
Flirt Pole

Use the pole for an indoor game, or bring it outside so you can really get your Enganese moving. Flirt poles are convenient to incorporate into your dog’s daily exercise routine and they make play engaging for all participants.Â
At-Home Spa
Treat your Enganese to some pampering by turning your home into a personalized spa that caters to their every need. Making your home into a spa just requires some basic products from the pet store. Swing by the pet shop when you pick up your flirt pole and include your pooch in the process.
Some items that could come in handy in your spa are nail clippers, shampoo, de-shedding wash, pet-friendly nail polish, a dog brush, and comfortable bedding if you don’t already have it. For your spa, you will need an area to wash your pup, and one for pampering. Ideally, you’ll want to use a large bathroom with a big tub, or an outdoor wash area, such as the backyard with a hose. The bathtub and warm water may be more comforting for your pooch. Once you have your spa ready, begin pampering your Enganese.Â
