Introduction

Humans and dogs have almost always co-existed peacefully. Dogs have always been helpful and kind, performing tasks that we could not do ourselves. We see police dogs, rescue dogs, and hunting dogs. They perform all sorts of tasks, their bravery making them wonderful allies during an emergency. Kunming Wolfdogs were bred to help the Chinese military. They were so good at their jobs that they were soon drafted into other governmental positions such as fire rescue attendants. This breed is fearless, but also very loving. They need to run around and be stimulated mentally. It is up to you to keep your Kunming happy, and they trust you can do the job.

Activity description
No matter your feelings about rain, there is no denying that it is inconvenient. There are many perks that come from the bad weather, but there are a few disadvantages too. Your dog will be cooped up inside, for one thing. This is enough to drive the two of you crazy. You could let them go running around n the rain, but that is a crazy idea and they will get sick. So, if you can't take them outside, you will have to keep them busy inside. This activity is very simple, but also incredibly effective. But it only works if you have a staircase in your home.
Step
1
Hype them up
Half the fun of spending time with your dog is watching their reactions to certain things. An excited dog is a happy dog. A happy dog is a happy dog owner. You should take the time to get them excited for the activity. When they are excited, the faster they will chase the ball and the more energy they will exert running around.
Step
2
Toss the ball
Stand at the top of the stairs and call your dog to you. Once they are excited, throw the ball down the stairs and watch as they chase after it. When they bring it back, you get to throw it again. This simple activity will have them worn out in no time.
Step
3
Carry on
If you get bored standing at the top of the stairs, you can make your way to the bottom and toss the ball up the stairs. Your dog will still chase it, and it will be a nice change of pace. Besides, they will spend more energy running up the stairs. Keep playing until your dog gets too tired or bored to continue.

Activity description
Kunming Wolfhounds are highly trainable. That is just the way they are. They are also remarkably obedient. If your dog has had some training, then this could be your next favorite activity. Your dog isn't the only one who has to stay in shape, but finding the motivation to exercise can be difficult. So why not kill two birds with one stone? Doga classes are all the rage right now. Doga is basically yoga for dogs. You and your dog get to exercise together and a qualified instructor will show you what to do and how to do it. You will be keeping both your dog and yourself healthy and have a great time doing it!
Step
1
Research
Before you go off and book a class for the two of you, you need to do your research. Find out which classes are available, check whether the instructor has good reviews and make sure that your dog meets all the qualifications. A few minutes of research will answer any questions or dispel any fears that you might have.
Step
2
Prepare for doga
Now that you have booked your class, it is time to get ready. Make sure that your dog has had a nice warm up. Some classes might require you to bring your own yoga mat, and it would be a good idea to show your dog what it is for. They might be curious at first, but they will get the hang of it in no time.
Step
3
Have fun
It is time for your first Doga class! Your dog might not understand why you're excited, but they are going to love it too. Take a deep breath, relax and enjoy it. It is a fun activity that will keep both of you in excellent shape. You'll also be surprised at how good doga is at bonding you two together.

Water for hydration
Towels/blankets
Treats
Activity description
As we mentioned before, Kunming dogs are very obedient. They are highly intelligent animals who will pick up new tricks in a short amount of time. All of this can be used to your advantage when it comes to this activity. Your dog will think it is a lot of fun and the two of you will be playing this for a long time. Make sure that you choose a few blankets or towels (try to choose different colors). You will also need quite a few treats, depending on how long you want to play. Never forget the water, and you are good to go.
Step
1
Set up
Find a nice open space, like a park or your backyard. Take your blankets/towels and lay them apart. Make sure to keep a bit of distance between them. You can set them up in a square or triangle. Your dog will be running between these points so make sure that they have enough space to use all of their energy.
Step
2
Demonstrate the fun
Lay a treat on the blanket, and name it. You could call it "home" or something similar. Let your dog eat the treat. Walk them to the next blanket and do the same thing, giving the area a different name. Do this will all your "zones". When you start out, you want to keep it simple. Two or three zones should be enough.
Step
3
Time to play
Once you have done this a few times, your dog will get the hang of it. Now, you can stand there and give the command. Tell your dog to go "home" or to another zone. Your dog will run to the zone and wait for their treat. As soon as your dog has the hang of it, you can send them to different zones or make it a bit bigger.

More Fun Ideas...

Interactive Feeders

You can buy interactive feeders from nearly any pet store in your area. If you need to keep your dog busy and your schedule is too full, you can fill it with food and let them play to their heart's content. Let them work for their food and have fun while doing it.

Go swimming

Summers are brutal when you are covered in fur. A nice swim might be all your dog needs to have a better than average day. Take them to the local swimming pool or buy a kiddie pool. If you have a pool in your yard, you can buy a bunch of toys to make things fun for them.

Take a Day Trip

Sometimes you need to get away from everything. Maybe you decide to go to the beach or take a hike. Remember that your dog needs a break too. Take them with you and enjoy the outing together. Remember to take treats and toys to keep them busy when things get a little boring for them.

Conclusion

Kunming Wolfhounds were bred to be heroes. They fought alongside armies and saved people from criminals and fires. They are a beloved and intelligent breed who would do anything for their owners. They are wonderful pets, but they need to feel like heroes too. Otherwise, they might get depressed or destructive. Your Kunming might not be a hero to the public, but they are your hero. Take them with you when you go out for the day, teach them Doga or let them run around with an interactive feeder when you're not at home. You never know how much they will appreciate it.
