Introduction

Toy Foxillons are the result of breeding a Toy Fox Terrier to a Papillon. This hybrid dog breed tends to weigh between three and ten pounds, which means that they are very tiny dogs. The appearance of this breed can vary a bit, but they tend to need about 20 to 30 minutes of physical activity each day regardless of whether they take more after the Papillon or Toy Fox Terrier. This breed is also referred to as the Papiox and Toy Focillon.

Activity description
Dogs need social interaction just like humans do. Why not invite another dog (of similar size is best) over for a doggy playdate? During a puppy playday, your Toy Foxillon will make a new friend and get a lot of exercise. Make sure that you have toys out for playtime and water to keep everyone hydrated. If your dog is a sharer, you can also provide treats during the playdate. This is a free activity that is easy to put together, and you will get to spend time with a friend as well. Plus, if you are willing to let the dogs play indoors, you can do it no matter what the weather is like!
Step
1
Phone a friend
The first thing you need to do is set up the playdate. You probably have some friends that have dogs around the same size as your Toy Foxillon. Call up a friend with a small dog and ask to set up a time and date for a playdate for your pooches.
Step
2
Meet up
Once the playdate rolls around, introduce the dogs to each other (if they don't already know each other). During this time, allow the dogs to sniff each other while leashed to prevent any unexpected biting or fighting. Some pet owners will suggest the first meeting be on neutral territory. You could start at the park and then walk home for the playdate. Once they are comfortable around each other, it's play time!
Step
3
Time for play
Unleash the dogs and let them run around and play together. This is when you should leave toys out for the dogs to play with. You know your dog best though, so if you see signs of aggression or ownership over the toys, put them away for another time. At the end of the playdate, you can reward the tired pups with a nice treat. Always be sure that the dogs have access to water during playtime.

Activity description
If you love shopping, consider taking special shopping trips with your pooch! Toy Foxillons are small enough to easily fit in a cart, so once you find some dog-friendly places to shop, just plop your pooch in the cart and go. If you have a dog that prefers to walk, then you can let them walk beside you for a little extra exercise. Wag! loves this activity, because it is free and can be done in any weather. All you need is a leash and a little time to go shopping. Your dog will love all of the attention they get from other shoppers.
Step
1
Find a store
While it is easy to bring your dog to a pet store, there are numerous other places that you can bring your dog. Many home improvement stores allow dogs in the building, so that is always a good place to visit if you need to switch up your shopping trip. Once you are sure that a store allows dogs, it is time to plan your shopping trip.
Step
2
Drive to the store
Getting your pooch to and from the store can be easy for some and challenging for others. We recommend keeping your pet buckled in the car or keeping them locked in a carrier for their own safety during the trip. If you live within walking distance, that is even better!
Step
3
Shop 'til they drop
Make your shopping trip last a bit longer by keeping your pup interested. Let your dog sniff around, meet other dogs, interact with people, and have a little fun. If you are at the pet store, let them pick out a new toy or treat for themselves. Once your dog starts to feel tired, be sure to wrap things up and head for home.

Canvas
Non-toxic Finger Paints

Activity description

If you aren't afraid of a little mess, plan a painting day with your pooch. With finger paints and a canvas, you and your Toy Foxillon can create a beautiful work of art that you will be dying to show off to everyone who comes into your home. This activity is fairly easy, but clean-up can be a challenge if you aren't careful. If the weather is nice, you can create your canvas outside. If not, you may want to consider using the bathroom, laundry room, garage, or another room in your home where you can close the door, keeping the mess contained and making clean up easy.

Step
1
Set up your art space
It is a good idea to create your next masterpiece outside or in an enclosed area that is easy to clean. Put your canvas on the floor and set up different colors of non-toxic, dog-safe paint in separate plastic bowls or plates. Keep towels and other cleaning supplies nearby for easy access.
Step
2
Create your canvas
Put paint on you and your dog and start decorating your canvas. Your Toy Foxillon's paws and tail can make cute impressions on the canvas. You can also splatter paint and use your own hands to paint. Be sure that your dog doesn't inhale or eat the paint, however. Even non-toxic paints shouldn't be eaten.
Step
3
Clean up
After your canvas is complete, put it in a place where it can safely dry. Next, you should clean yourself and your dog. Wash your hands with soap and water. Your dog's paws (and any other part of their body) can be cleaned using dog shampoo and warm water. Rinse the shampoo thoroughly and when your pet is paint-free, you can dry them off using a towel. Once you and your pet are clean, you can clean up your art space. Finger paint is pretty easy to remove with a rag and a cleaning agent. You could also try soap and water first.

Visit the Dog Park

If you don't know many people with small dogs, you can instead visit a local dog park. Most dog parks have a section specifically for small dogs to run and play with each other.

Get an Interactive Treat

Many toys can be filled or stuffed with treats, which make them ideal for a quick, easy activity. All you need to do is make sure that the toy is the appropriate size for your Toy Foxillon and that it is stuffed with treats that your pup loves.

Conclusion

These small dogs don't need a lot of activity, but the activity that they get needs to be high-quality. No matter what you do with your beloved pooch, make sure that they are active to stay healthy. Any of the activities listed above can be a lot of fun to do with your Toy Foxillon, and you can rest assured that they are getting enough exercise.
